Wouldn't just be easier and more logical to just boycott Target completely? 
I started boycotting Target in November. It will probably last for the rest of my life.

Just like there used to be a book that told Blacks what hotels to go to while travelling in the South, there should be a monthly/yearly list of the people and places we need to economically boycott.
Black college students who are not in a HBCU should be transferring to one ASAP.
Juneteenth should be a Black holiday, meaning that Blacks in the US shouldn't go to work on that day whether or not the day is recognized by the State or the Federal Govt.
I can’t remember the last time I went to Walmart. It had to be last summer. I spend my money where I want and only where I feel appreciated.
I think a targeted one can be effective by at least letting them see what their numbers look like during that period, cause if their sales drop even 7%, that would be scary for them. Make it be known that a longer one is next... Then let's see what their response is.

The suit covers those who acquired Target common stock between August 26, 2022 and November 19, 2024.
Law firm Grant & Eisenhofer represents the class action members in the suit filed on Janaury 31 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Fort Meyers Division.
This suit is marked as related to an earlier lawsuit brought by America First Legal, a conservative nonprofit, on behalf of shareholder Brian Craig in the same court.

Background
The lawsuit cites consumer backlash from Target’s May 2023 LGBT-Pride Campaign that caused some customers to boycott the company and shop at rivals, such as Walmart, whose results stood in “stark contrast” to Target’s. The boycott caused Target’s stock price to drop immediately and continue on a rocky course throughout 2024. The suit alleges Target defrauded investors by hiding the customer backlash and not advising them of the risks to earnings from DEI policies. In effect, the plaintiffs claim Target misused “investor funds to serve political and social goals.” As of posting, Target did not respond to request for comment.Related Suit
In Aug. 2023, America First Legal, founded by Stephen Miller and now a Trump administration policy advisor, brought a similar suit on behalf of shareholder Brian Craig in the same U.S. Middle District of Florida court. Also alleging losses due to the company’s Pride Month 2023 campaign, Target filed back seeking to dismiss the suit as merely a disagreement over business decisions and claimed it had effectively warned investors about potential customer backlash. Following Target’s January 24 announcement that it was evolving its Belonging initiative by “concluding its three-year diversity, equity and inclusion goals,” civil rights leaders called for a Target boycott beginning on February 1 in conjunction with Black History Month. In a rally outside the company’s Minneapolis headquarters, civil rights attorney and founder of the Racial Justice Network, Nekima Levy Armstrong said Target acted “cowardly” by “bowing to the Trump administration” and retreating from support of racial equity. After the National Center for Public Policy Research submitted a proxy proposal to assess the company’s “litigation, reputational and financial risks” surrounding DEI, Costco shareholders voted almost unanimously in support of Costco’s current DEI initiatives at the company’s January shareholder meeting. I started boycotting target when they started building them. Kmart's cousin ass stores.
DEI is not a black program. What’s the purpose? How about going out and spending with Black American owned businesses?
So I was going to post this...but the larger point here is that these companies use DEI as a political ploy and it moves based off of who is in the white house. Thats all I need to hear. My expectation is that it needs to be "DEI today, DEI tomorrow, and DEI forever"...i dont want to hear anything about bending the knee to who is the leader of the country.
What I have found is two sites that provide a directory for black owned businesses. I propose that we do a post (or use this post) to have a sticky that provides links to black owned businesses.

So they're probably doing 40 days because one it's a relatively quick time frame and two because it's being done by a pastor probably doing the whole 40 days and 40 nights kind of thing.
Also I do like the idea of targeted boycotts over certain time frames because depending on where people live target might be the most convenient or easiest place to get the things you need. There's a lot of places where Walmart is the only game in town or Target might be the only game in town that you can get to reasonably. Remember Target is the second largest retailer in America they're everywhere.
Finally I really got to point out that some of y'all look for any excuse not to do something you see other Black people do. There's a lot of people in here that have some real coonish tendencies and your first instinct is to make an excuse as to why you shouldn't boycott Target or why it won't work. Honestly a lot of y'all are some negative little bitch ass motherfucker.

No, because they could take in nearly a billion just off signups then flip the script on us. Simply shop black. Avoid Mexican restaurants, Chinese joints, Ford, Amazon and Walmart for the foreseeable future.

It is very disappointing to me how easily my people fall for BS. The DEI stuff was mainly lip service and much of it was for gay shit. It is extreemly hard to find statistics for any of these companies that clearly show a positive impact for Black folks from DEI programs. It they existed, companies would boast about them. Take Target, while they were saying they were looking to boost diversity, only 8% of its leadership was Black. All of these mfers are racist and none of them truly want us to succeed. That is why all of these CACs (Biden, Newsom) and even Black folks(Kamala) won't make real strides to make Reperations happen. Reperations clearly could make a real difference. Not forcing employees to take training on Diversity, Gender, etc etc.
What Pastor Jamal Bryant said is correct. There's only one language that they understand and that is money. The Bus Boycott got things moving back then and a consistent boycott will get things moving now. If nothing else, it will help our black businesses grow. Jamal Bryant can’t tell me shit. Target dropping DEI is NOT an African American problem. We got bigger issues we should be focused on as a whole.
While you are correct...this is a good start. One thing that he also brought up that I liked was dropping stock in Target. we just need to remain consistent. What we need to do is figure out a way to scale these black businesses up to be able to (hopefully) handle the demand that we will be coming their way. I looked in the comments on these videos and there weren't just black people saying that they are going to buy from black businesses. I think there are others out there that understand that we did our part to keep Trump out of the White House and we are consistently trying to save a country that has rejected us from the time we got here.
