I'm trying not to get bent outta shape about Trump. After the election, I turned off all my political channels (needed a mental break) and am kind of running an experiment to see if I can tune Trump out and not let this fool stress me out.

But I'm interested to know if any of his bullshit from the executive office has directly affected your life yet?

Yeah...keeping my eye on those prices. So far my only gripe is the price of eggs, but every since I started paying for premium quality eggs the price isn't really affecting me :dunno:. But the egg prices don't really have anything to do with Trump, right?

Welp, I think Trump causing chaos, confusion and making people angry is part of the plan, especially with the media. So I'm trying not to buy into it. I mean, the day they announced the freeze on federal money, I just kinda laughed it off because I really didn't see how that wasn't gonna backfire. And like I suspected, it did.

And then, the DEI thing....yeah, I know it's code for "Black" but as I understand it, white women are the biggest beneficiaries of DEI while Black men have gotten the LEAST from DEI. The only thing blaming DEI on the crash did imo is make his racist base feel good, but....and? They've been doing shit like that since the Moors were defeated. But he again, was WRONG about that shit so :yawn:

I dunno, I'm feeling while all this corny shit is going on we can be making stealth moves to get ahead. That orange monkey ain't stopping no show....yet at least.
 
I have checked out already... So far it been the price thing. I dont even buy eggs anymore as a private protest
If they start cutting benefits like section 8 it will screw up my bread on rental properties.
There are other things coming if he gets his way with the B.S. he's already trying, with more to come.
Im waiting ... Hopefully Im wrong about everything and nothing will be a problem

Most of the effects won't happen immediately (especially if you aren't an illegal immigrant) but we will all be affected. Whether if you have investments, a job that depends on federal grants, housing that depends on federal grants, childcare that depends on federal grants, your life, etc.....
Let's remember we're not even thirty days into this man being in office.

Prices going up, is a thing I’ve come to expect.
Years ago the best donut local spot had a dozen for like $6… last year before they went outta business it’s like $11. The same dozen nothing different.
Living in Da Boot, during hurricane season these fuckers hit us across our head.


Now if Orange Crush go full throttle and fuck with the government workers
 
Everything is high like it's been the past 20 years smh lol. Appliances ain't cheap, rent or mortgages ain't cheap, any type of insurance ain't cheap, cable companies still have a monopoly on home internet and that's not going to change under Trump. Groceries, gas and utilities still high. Medical cost still high especially if you get really sick. Taking you pets to the vet will cost you a arm and a leg. Only thing cheap you can get nowadays is probably a TV.. Lol

Then there's Trump who's acting a fool since he became President again. Maga fools think he's going to bring down all the cost I mentioned in my above comment... Lol Delusional muthafuckas!

No...Only Biden can affect the price of eggs and gas. Trump is not powerful enough, in spite of his claims on the campaign trail..

He says he's gonna do certain shit, but it's Trump. Everything he says he'll do gotta be taken with a grain of salt until he ACTUALLY makes a massive change.

Naw it's the exact opposite. Whatever he says take him at his word. He's already affected the stock market. He's already tried to cut federal funding and he's still trying to do so.
Not taking him at his word is how he got reelected.

So let's say you are correct and that Trump doesn't control the money but others do. What do you think those who control the money want to do?
What do you think the richest man in world is doing with the access he currently has to the US treasury?
I'll start with two things:

Cut funding to enrich themselves at our expense.
Cut regulations to enrich themselves once again at our expense.

The Republicans have always been trying to do this and now they are pushing ahead. Just look at the people he's put forth for cabinet positions. The man has a bunch of billionaires in his administration and you think they're just bluffing? Naw bruh.. this is real shit.

One of my co-workers gig is going to end in May due to contract cut with a government agency.

A new project I wanted to join was just told to stop work on at the end of this month even though the contract was just awarded.

It's truly not comparable. Especially since dems are too loose with spending money (especially on social programs). While the Republicans are too short with spending money on social programs/giving help except when it comes to corporations and wealth individuals.

So we shall see what shakes out in a few months or so.

No, what I'm saying is that the true owners of this country allow the pendulum to swing back and forth (creating an illusion of choice), while steadily benefitting the whole time. They have a plan on how to benefit when Dems are in office based on how Dems govern and a plan to benefit when the Repubs are in control based on how Repubs govern.
 
My profession and geographic area is FILLED with MAGA!

Got family members at the Federal level going through hell right now with the bullshit EO Trump is passing everyday!
 
So far hasn't affected me directly.

Portfolio still doing good, job going well.

He's only held office for 3 weeks, so things can still go tits up.

I'm reducing frivolous spending and doing more saving/investing because who knows what to expect from a Trump presidency.
 
Last year we started taking more Medicaid/medicare patients. I was due a huge productivity bonus,this week, and it has been delayed… management says cause payment was delayed by the government but who knows

cosign.. just been hell.. lot of confusion, too many people who work for the fed goverment speculating, nobody knows a damn thing. Every person who works for the Federal goverment job is on the line.. shit is going to get worse long before it gets better. I try to avoid all things Trump but mofos stay blowing up your phone with the lastest bullshit. so to answer your question directly, it has invited confustion into my work life I did not have before.
