I use Claude and now DeepSeek to help me format my scripts. I fucking HATE formatting screenplays/scripts. I didn't go to school for it but I taught myself because I had to. With AI I can write how I write (to read the voice-overs how I'm comfortable) then reformat the scripts once I'm done.
 
What is really interesting is they built that AI on a batch of "Speed Limited" graphics cards that were supposed to have at least 10% slower performance/capabilities than their US versions......

This is exposing the "fat" that is the US corporate structure aka capitalism!

When the CEOS aren't making 400X the average employee and your workforce is educated and efficient, you can get a hell of a lot done

The difference is that in the US we built guidelines into our AI to control the abuse of AI.

People always think new shit is better but why in China, the AI is not as open as it is in the US?

I like LM Studio, it has it's own UI so you don't have to add one separately. It also makes it easy to search for models and shows you how big each quantization is.

As long as it's GGUF format, the model can be offloaded to your system ram. It'll be slower but it'll allow you to run larger models and/or higher quantizations and/or larger contexts.

It's about protectionism, they use the same argument with China's BYD electric car industry, China's TikTok, and China's cellphone industry, it's cyber-threats so they are heavily tariffed or banned-out right. In the end, the US corporations only believe in the free-market when it benefits them otherwise close the borders economically.

America's just been posturing the last 25 years while China went into their innovation bag. They are actually the better economic miracle story than America currently. Compare 1980s China to US, EU countries and Japan. It was just a bunch of backwater fishing holes. What they have transformed themselves into in just a short amount of time is insane. I think Africa's story is going to end up being the greatest. The right visionaries in leadership with the will behind it to push their countries forward in all spheres with a population that has the hunger to succeed will be an amazing thing to watch unfold. The Sahel region looks to be the ones leading the charge.
