I’m not enough of a ole skool head to have goats but I definitely respect this shit and what Bobby Blue, James Brown and BB did on soul train
Also when Stevie was in Nola, that shit give me the chill when thinking about it.

i was looking for some of his older clips because I feel like his voice used to be even more powerful...but..

Yeah, I meant extracted/isolated the vocals.
I think there is. Music and background vocals give you something to harmonize with.
It'd be much harder for him to replicate this performance with nothing but silence.
That makes sense. But if he had the music playing in his ear, he could harmonize with it and it would still be an acappella, right?

Looking at the Wikipedia definition it looks like that would be cheating, but I suppose if no one else could hear the music they wouldn't complain. Lol.
