“One of Them Days” cost only $14 million to produce, which it is expected to earn by Monday. The very well-reviewed buddy comedy stars Palmer and SZA as friends and roommates scrambling to get money for rent before their landlord evicts them. Notably it’s the first Black female-led theatrical comedy since “Girls Trip” came out in 2017 and it currently carries a stellar 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Yeah the trailer was dry and didn't seem overly funny but then I realized it's a rated R flick..usually those types of flicks can't show all the best parts in the trailer cause they too explicit

Had the same experiences with "American pie", "Kick Ass", "Dope". Those movies were wayyyyyy better than i ever thought they would be based on the trailers.

I wasn't expecting that movie to do big numbers and they made more money on opening day compared to den of thieves.

But that's cool to know they made bank.

It's great when black movies do good at the box office.

I believe it had something to do with the cast, which is why many people wanted to see that movie. Very smart when you have the right actors in these movies that it can become a success.

This and its produced by Issa rea her shit usually funny. I was looking at the trailer and the location seemd similar as her TV show. Also usually when katt is in a movie its funny

yes that's another selling point for me...I usually get interested in movies based on the director, screenwriter etc. and I'll always check for anything Issas attached too....been supporting her shit since MOAABG on YouTube.

somebody described this movie as a flick in the Insecure universe if it didn't have Lawrence and Issa and just had all the funny side characters like: Black Chad, Kelly, Blood Yoda, Issa's brother etc.

Bro that was a very smart adaptation reboot remix whatever you want to call it

It was exactly what you wanted from this new universe they wanted to build.
