Many said it would take 5 years to get Colorado popping…
It was popping instantly and the games was exciting and Competitive in year one. They have six or seven games, lost by six points or less.
One lost less and he’s in conference championship with 10wins and possibly in Playoffs…
So I’m not sure, if he’s a good fit, what I do know is folks said he wasn’t ready to coach Jackson State, he did well in 3 years,
Folks said he wasn’t good enough to coach division 1 and Colorado is a horrible job
After two years, they been the most covered team in college.
Women lie men lie but numbers don’t.
If Rick George can convince the universe and Deion, We all gonna see that he really wasn’t a good fit for Dallas(if you know what I mean)

Colorado coaches elevated to new roles
Tommie Robinson, Colorado's director of quality control working with special teams, is expected to be elevated as the Buffs’ assistant running backs coach, per a video published by Thee Pregame Show.
Gary "Flea" Harrell has been Colorado's running backs coach the last two years, but his status moving forward is unclear.
Robinson has 38 years of coaching experience, primarily at the collegiate level, as well as stints in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys (1998-2000) and the Arizona Cardinals (2010-2012). Robinson adds further NFL experience to the Buffs staff in addition to head coach Deion Sanders, offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur, defensive coordinator Robert Livingston and four other assistants that played in the NFL.
In between Robinson’s NFL experience, he worked at a variety of college programs serving as Oklahoma State’s running backs coach in 2001, Georgia Tech’s wide receiver and tight ends coach from 2002 to 2005. He then spent a year at Memphis as the Tigers running backs coach in 2006 and later coached Miami's running backs from 2007-2009.
Following his time with the Cardinals, Robinson returned to the collegiate level at USC as the passing game coordinator and running backs coach in 2013. Robinson later served as Texas’ running backs coach (2014-2015), then went back to USC as the run game coordinator and running backs coach (2016) and won a national championship with LSU in 2019. Before coming to Colorado, in his most recent role, he coached the Aggies' running backs.
Robinson spent three years at LSU through 2017 to 2019, and during that stint, he helped produce three highly productive rushers in Derrius Guice, Nick Brossette and Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who all delivered 1,000-plus yard seasons.
Robinson provides a wealth of experience in helping to guide a Colorado rushing attack that has struggled in head coach Deion Sanders’ two years with the program. In 2023 and 2024, the Buffs finished last in FBS in rushing yards per game, averaging only 65.2 rushing yards per game in 2024 and 68.9 rushing yards per game in 2023.
Colorado’s lack of commitment to the run has been very apparent these last two years, and perhaps with Robinson’s 30-plus years coaching the position, he can set a new standard for CU’s run game.

Dude was at Miami for a long time. I'm going to take a wait and see on this because I've watched Miami and I've never seen them absolutely punish a team for 4 quarters from a physical standpoint. Best I've seen them is when they beat up Florida the first game of the season this year.
Swasey is great with skill players. However the major criticism from Miami fans was that we started getting bullied in the trenches. He was also banned from the locker room for not having the proper certifications. His greatest impact was interpersonal with the players...they absolutely loved and respected him...
This is exactly what CO needs is being better in the trenches especially on the oline. Coach Prime says he wants to be more physical then they need a strength coach that is going to push them to be more physical.
Looking at it from another angle, is that solely on the strong coach.
Some players dont realize they ain’t dawgs until their hit in the mouf.
I think prime definitely signed some size again this year, so that might help

The only reason he was fired from Miami was because of this. It’s been a while but I think it was the NCAA that updated the rules and made it mandatory for all S&C coaches to pass a test.
Swasey could not pass the test and the rules were that he couldn’t be allowed into the weight room when student athletes were there or on the field.
From a skills perspective, players swore by him and all would come back to UM to train vs with their NFL teams. In the summers you would see all the Greats training.
Some will say that UM were getting pushed around upfront but to me that was more of a decline in talent than Swasey. We won a title with Swasey
Miami had the top recruiting ranking in the ACC over the last 20 years...we were getting pushed around. Swasey came in 2000 and was handed the keys to a ferrari. Tommy Moffitt trained those interior guys then went to LSU in 2000 and won natty's in 2003 and 2007. He also was S&C for that 2019 LSU team...
So the Strength Coach is probably the most important coach next to the head coach. They set the mentality for the offseason and during the season. VT just fired their strength coach and Coach Pry specifically said that weren't great in late game situations because of "conditioning issues" Prime example was that Miami game we lost. Cam ward is a good player, but some of those sacks he got out of, we should have been bringing him to the ground. syracuse was another game where we faded...
Anyway, its on the Strength Coach to set the tone for the entire team and each player is supposed to have a weight plan to get them where they need to be...if they are missing that mark and the player aint putting in the effort, then thats on the player, but if the plan is wrong, then thats on the coach. Give you another example, if you look at how USC played this year in the Big 10 vs. how they played in the pac 12, that was a change from night and day because they knew they were going to have to be more physical against teams like Wisconsin, Penn State, Ohio State, etc.
I absolutely think the CO has the players now to go win the Big 12. I'm not sure if they just thought the Bowl Game was a vacation, but BYU went out, punched them in the face and embarrassed them. The same thing that Kansas did. This is how team are going to want to beat them. Now that shedeur is gone, they should be running the ball more. I know that they have the backs to do it.
The DLine wasn't that bad when Pata was there (i want to say around 2006). but for the most part this is correct. Jacory Harris was there and there was talk about the canes being "back", the line play was suspect.
yep "RIP" to Pata...We had the number 1 class in the Nation including the number 1 DT Marcus Fortson. I thought Randy Shannon was going to turn us into champions...Jacory Harris took a beating

Yeah, Randy was bad...I thought he was going to take over college football....
Also the school was extra cheap with the football budget
