This reminds me of a situation with my best friend.

He met his now ex-wife when her daughter was two years old and his son was one. They were together for 18 years. The girl's birth father wasn't in the picture. She always called him Denver.

When the girl was 11 years old she went to stay with her birth father for the summer, and that shit lasted less than 2 weeks. When she came home she started calling Denver Dad and he broke down in tears.

She got down to meet her birth father and she found out that her birth father was nothing but a sperm donor, and her real dad was my friend, Denver. He earned that title
