I remember I went to a party during Essence Festival in 2013.
The club had 3 different floors (Hip-hop, Reggae, R&B).
The flyer said that there would be a special performance by Chante Moore on the R&B floor around 11pm.
We decided to go to the floor where Chante was performing.
Nobody came.
There were only 5 of us in there.
She performed her hits and gave us a show the best she could.
It was really awkward, but she was professional about it.

Not saying this is that but do you know how many times millionaires hire musical artists to perform for them and a small group of friends and family? Drake Ye Beyoncé get paid paid a mil or 2 just to perform 3-4 songs and chill for about an hour or two
At least he still got his health and his freedom. Alot of those cats from that era/location didn’t do so well.

We went to see a children's band they printed the wrong time. It was a small venue 400/500 seats. It was only the 4 of us and the whole band on stage.
Those people did the entire show. We loved it and felt like royalty. They went all out like it was a packed house 30+ mins
They won a music award soon after and mentioned that exact day during their acceptance speech.

I live my life as if I'm performing many times. I'll go to the airport and as I'm waiting in line I'm singing not giving a single fuck. I know you can't compare karaoke to performing on stage, but when I get on karaoke, I perform like it's a real ass show.
Does it attack...no, TRY to attack your spirit when you go do karaoke and there are 2 people there when you're used to performing for 20-30 people.

I sang 'We are the World' And I'm pretty decent doing voices. I was able to sound like every single one of them up to Cyndi lauper. I was able to do the song and sound just like the people I was trying to sound like. I did that shit at karaoke. And kilt it
