This is unadulterated bullshit. The left has always been made up of rejects from the right. There has never been a unified front because it's always been made up of people who have little in common with each other besides not fitting in with the right. This is why so many so-called leftists have right wing opinions. They are in fact right minded people who can't be accepted by the right because of their race, disability, religion, gender, nation of origin, etc... The reason why the left is suddenly unable to do anything is actually because of their successes, not their failures. They lost a bunch of people when those rejects were made more acceptable thanks to their own efforts.
This is why all that replacement theory shit happened. The right wing people suddenly saw their ranks filled with people that look different from them but acted just like them and decided that it was a plot to erase them. There's a genocide researcher whose name escapes me at the moment, but he found the following: genocides happen when people who demand assimilation suddenly get it. They feel as though they are being invaded when it's more difficult to identify "the others" not less difficult. It's true that the left is causing the change, but not in the way you're saying.
