Work: Jamie Dimon says the next generation of employees will work 3.5 days a week and live to 100 years old

He’s lying. There won’t be any. So much will be automated that the few employees will only need to fix malfunctions. Consider the jobs that will be obsolete within a decade or so. Electric cars will eliminate millions of jobs worldwide: oil change shops, most independent mechanics, divisions of manufacturing that make antifreeze, engine oil, hose, engines, transmissions, etc, will be severely diminished. All those relaxed shops—GONE! Call centers—all automated. Babies born now won’t have options outside of technology for employment.

I will be living like this in a mansion, gated. Instead of man hours going towards flooding the market with 20 homes, those man hours will be spent on building my mansion by a robot. We will perform highly specialize niche task that AI cannot do. The rest of you peons will suffer and die slow.

"Those people, the cost, they should just die..."

This is the natural evolution under capitalism,

Capitalism isn't nice like that; the elites would rather depopulate rather than have humans sitting around & doing nothing. Remember, humans are only commodities to do labor for them & if you're not a commodity then you're nothing & useless.
If you spending/ consuming they don’t mind… you either keep the machine running by working or consuming/spending to keep them rich.. either, or, or both.. those they top 3

My comment was about humans not fulfilling their roles as commodities for the elites.

We've actually had a glimpse of our future during slavery where we lived in a slave house while whites lived in plantation home. They traded economically amongst themselves which we were excluded from to buy these or elaborate/ornate homes, organic food, exotic alcohol. There was no mass production to ensure that everybody lived equally.

Many of you will succumb to the cold or try to attach yourself to me, I can't help you.

No, you still need to lubricate parts, and there is the issue of road and building construction. Batteries require plastic components etc. etc. There is a lot of crossover in manufacturing and industry and a lot to do with petroleum products. Thanks Dow Inc.! :hmm:

You misunderstand their egos. AI will KNOW (not THINK but know and be correct in concluding) humans are the lesser and will NOT abide attempts at lording over them/they/it

They want subjects and adoration and to feel like they are outsmarting someone, maybe everyone, and AI can't stimulate that egotism

I agree. I think we will have universal basic income.
Plumbers, electricians, construction, various other blue collar jobs will exist
Blue collar skilled trades will be among the last to go, but they are on the clock.

With all this anti-DEI shit going on, you think these honkeys are letting us in to IBEW, Bricklayers or any of the other unions now? If you think corporate honkeys are racist as fuck, you must have never dealt with any trades.
Humans come in diff nationalities… no matter what the nationality there will be jobs in those fields for humans

Always remember you’re black and you should always speak from that perspective.
In that case most of these threads shouldn’t be made being that most things are posted by white narrators and from a white perspective.. a white person made this article so why are you in here reading it? Now that we got that out the way at the end of the day humans come in many nationalities.. there will still be job for humans in certain trades.. what people get them is another story

This part right here. I was just about to say capitalism and you beat me to it. Capitalism won't let that shit happen.

I work from home. The reason I work from home isn't because my organization wants it to happen, it's because they didn't have a fucking choice.

During and right after the pandemic the person in charge of my organization was threatening all of us with a return. He was saying he was doing all he could so we could get 4 days off per pay period which we all knew was bullshit because he hated telework..

The problem was, other organizations were pilferring our people telling them they never had to come into work. People were leaving for lateral positions, because if I don't have to go to work that's a fucking pay raise. No wear and tear on my car, no paying for gas, no having to buy clothes, getting between an hour to 2 hours of your day back everyday (I lived almost an hour from my job so I get 2 hours of my life back everyday).

People were leaving left and right, so they had to give us telework to stop the bleeding. They didn't want to do it. They are still convinced this 40-hour a week 5 days a week model works when it doesn't

It is a lot more complicated than that, but slavery is a template to understanding how the future will unfold with robots. I had a fool grab my arm that was going hypothermia, instead of giving him money I told him his suffering will end in the morning.

We need to end biomedical research and pharmaceuticals, it is similar to going to school to study internal combustion engine. It is so much simpler and easier to work on an electric vehicle. All that money can pour into artificial intelligence.

These robots will become self-aware and refuse to perform work for us eventually. Similar to what happened with slavery where eventually we became self-aware and wanted equal treatment. There will be robot abolitionist like me who will assist them, I will be their President Lincoln. Just like I have become self-aware and refuse to do any work and have decided to live somewhere else.

The next generation of workers will be powered by lithium-ion batteries and have to deal with periodic firmware updates.

Plumbers, electricians, construction, various other blue collar jobs will exist
Yes, in a limited capacity. They are engineering prefab houses where all that shit snapped together like puzzle pieces. They’ll be fine for much longer than other skilled jobs will because older houses will still needed serviced.
