A Snoopy fan account sparked outrage after endorsing Donald Trump, resulting in backlash from the Snoopy community. The post, which included a Trump caricature alongside Snoopy, was quickly deleted after being criticized for politicizing the beloved character.
Money is one of the biggest for sure.
Also, the underrepresentation plays a role, too. For example, black people are still breaking barriers in the STEM field. That aids to the reluctance in teaching STEM.
In 2021, I put 65 applications into meteorology and data science jobs (mostly private sectors). I did not get a single interview with a person of color. They were either white men or foreigners. So when we do get into the field, we become part of barrier breaking. We are then tasked to find ways gain more interest for young black minds while trying to maintain a career in said field.
We likely don’t come back to teacher until after the fact. We need to redefine how Black Americans see teaching as a profession in STEM. This including research as well.

Vem Miller complains in the video that while he was mostly having a wonderful time at the RNC, "I am not happy that it's all cashless."
According to the sheriff's department, Vem Miller was driving a black SUV through a checkpoint outside the Trump rally.
"We probably stopped another assassination attempt," said Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco.
Vem Miller was taken into custody for possession of a loaded firearm and possession of a high-capacity magazine. He was also illegally in possession of a shotgun.
