I wonder what AEWs overhead is on operational costs a year. Between production costs, talent and staff pay, venue costs, travel costs, marketing, etc....So it looks like Rampage is dead and/or being repackaged into another show, possibly on FS1.
And Collision and Dynamite will be simulcast live on MAX and old episodes available on demand, which is great.
That should hopefully get AEW more exposure with the mainstream and grow their product, if that's even their goal anymore.
$150m/year is not quite the $170m number that was being thrown around a few weeks ago but still a decent number.

Big overrun tonight! The victory lap show!
For their payroll alone, the number being floated out there is $100m/yearI wonder what AEWs overhead is on operational costs a year. Between production costs, talent and staff pay, venue costs, travel costs, marketing, etc....
I would be curious to see how much they spend a year versus how much they actually make.
Regardless, glad to see they finally have their deal.
If true that's ridiculous. For their payroll alone, the number being floated out there is $100m/year![]()
Over/under 720K viewers? I'm taking the under.

I hope you're right but I doubt it. If folks weren't tuning into to watch them on regular cable, I doubt folks are going to start watching them on a streaming platform. Although people are leaving cable year after year, channel surfing on cable is still part of viewer habits. People who stream and ONLY stream are going to watch the content they already enjoy. At this point it doesn't really matter. The deal is done and once they go to streaming the traditional Nielsen ratings model will be really dead. They'll grow that audience through streaming.
FixedThat's $50 bucks to TKs dad.
Another great thing about the AEW Streaming MAX deal and the WWE Raw Netflix streaming deal is this ratings discourse bullshit will FINALLY be put to rest. No more Nielsen ratings crap.
Well.....it is. He isn't a businessman, his father is.Always with the "it's his dad's money" narrative.
I agree. It's been outdated for too long. The way people consume wrestling has changed past the point to be able to accurately gauge the numbers "easily".
I don't think TV ratings discussion will completely go away because Smackdown and Dynamite/Collision will still be on cable.Another great thing about the AEW Streaming MAX deal and the WWE Raw Netflix streaming deal is this ratings discourse bullshit will FINALLY be put to rest. It will be replaced by the streaming number...look at how music is measured....going to be the same thing.Another great thing about the AEW Streaming MAX deal and the WWE Raw Netflix streaming deal is this ratings discourse bullshit will FINALLY be put to rest. No more Nielsen ratings crap.

Lmaooooo I know how streaming works and is different, hence the music example...doesn't change the fact that those numbers are being recorded and measured.Yes, there's gonna be streaming numbers but it won't be calculated in the same way Nielsen ratings are. Nielsen ratings are dependent on who watches the shows live whereas streaming isn't dependent on that. You can stream/watch the show later and it still count as a view. A lot of people don't watch wrestling live.

Maybe, but that ain't gonna fix the attendance problem....that shit needs to be addressed ASAP. And nothing boosts tv/streaming numbers like not being able to attend a sellout show that's being televised. And so far, they've been going backwards on that.Yeah and that's fine as it works in AEW's favor versus the outdated Nielsen model.
