Yup. I totally agree. You combat crazy with being calm and relax sometimes.

I didn’t watch because I wanted to see the Padres and ATL game, but from the clips I saw Tim was solid, precise, and calm.
 
Biggest issue about that non-answer on Jan. 6th is NOT having any opinion on it at all during a debate!

You should always have an answer for a direct question during a debate, UNLESS you really think that chump was wrong and just don't want to say it out loud so you don't get fact-checked....lol

Vance and chump make the oddest couple ever. chump picked a chump. Someone that he could push around and do his bidding. chump just didn't realize how big a fag Vance really is. Dude is incredibly forgettable and and underwhelming candidate for VP.

This was maybe one of my favorite post-debate moments. Maybe even my favorite moment of the night. Dude was straight ready to do the thing.

My hot takes from last night: JD Vance is a better and more charismatic liar than Trump is. This is not a compliment or a positive trait. Worst of all is that his entire substance is a lack of substance. He says things that he immediately contradicts, or says things that don't make sense. He kept saying that common sense is more important than "experts", but anyone with a brain knows that common sense approaches are the foundation of all scientific investigation and discovery. Knowledge is not a handicap, unless the people in charge lack it.

On the other hand, Tim Walz just said it straight. He had some clearly worked on and polished answers, but for the most part, he gave clear examples, he broke down things into simpler terms, and he told it like it is, not how he imagines it to be. Ironically, Walz inadvertently did validate part of Vance's argument. Because in this case, Walz made significantly better common sense arguments.

Now will this move the needle? Doubtful. A VP debate very rarely has consequences. It seems like the immediate blush is that undecideds are continuing to drift towards Harris/Walz (or, more accurately, that they are drifting away from Trump/Vance). I can't imagine many practical people hearing Vance say some of the things he said and behave the way he did thinking that it was in any way the way you'd want someone that helps run a country to act, but I have disappointed way too often over this.
