It can't be understated how terrible Captain America the first avenger movie was

I recently thought, maybe I misjudged this movie. Watching this shit now halfway through I don't know how they got a sequel out of this. Just America America America America garbage

Iron Man 2 was completely trash. I like iron Man 1 up until the old guy jumped in the suit and flew like he had been using it forever. After watching Robert Downey Jr struggled to control flying in the suit for a full half hour the old guy jumps in the suit and acts like he was born in it.

So I basically liked it, it was fun. I can't even comment on iron Man 2. I tried to go back and watch that movie and it sucks still

It's not a bad movie at all. It is however a product of where Marvel was at the time, which is to say it's basically 90% set-up to the Avengers.

Just sticking the landing and getting the 1st Avengers right was their only real goal during those early Phase 1 days. Hell I don't think the movies had been broken up into Phases yet.

I will admit that it's the least likely of the Cap movies to get a rewatch.

The 1st Ironman was straight. That 2nd one was trash set on fire and left outside of a hot day.

It always cracked me up how much shit Thor 2 gets, while Ironman 2 gets a free past. The best thing about that movie was the trailer and the action part of the final fight scene is less than 60 seconds long.

GOTG 1 was cool because you got to see their motivations, all except rockets which we saw later in GOTG3, but It's one of my favorites because it forced them, all of them, to drop all of their heirs and be themselves not the person they were trying to portray themselves to be

By the time they get the Guardians of the Galaxy 2, the lesser of the three good films They are already bonded. You can only bond with somebody after both of you have dropped heirs. If you're still keeping up pretenses one is going to bond or the other is going to bond but you both won't bind.

It was established in the film that Cap was at that particular base doing a USO show for the troops when he learned of Bucky and the 501st being captured by Hydra. He went to Col. Phillips (Tommy Lee Jones) for more info. Col. Phillips informed him of their exact whereabouts behind enemy lines but forbid Cap from going in.

Defying orders; both Peggy Carter and Howard Stark put themselves at risk by helping Cap enter behind enemy lines by flying him as close to the area as they could. Cap managed to parachute in and evade Hydra to reach the base and successfully free Bucky and the 501st.

Truth be told, he did almost the EXACT SAME THING at the beginning of Winter Soldier. So why is this so hard to understand...?

These phase movies was a big step for mervel and this was the 1st movie to get captain america right plus kt det up s lot of things for the mcu with world bulding and supporting ing characters. The 90s captain a erica movie came close but they got red skull wrong they made him italian instead of german. Thor was the worst lf the phase one movies although it wasnt so terrible but it suffered from bad editing during fight scenes and they were sort of lack luster. Ahain these phase 1 movies was a big step for marvel
