To eliminate confusion, @dudes4harris was the original account by Ross. Sadly, it was suspended.
I am not Ross, but someone who is helping for now. I noticed the advertised @dudesforharris account on the live call was never claimed or created right before the event started. So, I made the choice to claim it to prevent any bad actors from taking it and spreading hateful messages. The goal was to message Ross right after the call was over.
I personally reached out to Ross about an hour or so ago to explain what I did, and he has been so kind and a huge help in what to do next, as this project belongs to him and the organizers that worked tirelessly to make this successful night possible.
I thought I would be completely transparent with everyone, as I did not expect this to blow-up on Twitter the way that it did. To be honest, I was just really excited for this event, and wanted to help.
I’ll give an update as soon as I find out. I appreciate you all so much!
