Honestly, he was/is one of my favorite comedians. I loved his persona in his TV shows of someone who has this perpetually confused look on his face with all the offbeat characters around him. I remember my instructor playing his "Driving Instructor" skit during our driver's ed class in high school. Hilarious.

BTW, this was from the first comedy album that topped the Billboard Album charts in 1960. The album, The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart, won him 2 Grammys.

Who has played the party drinking game, "Hi Bob!", where a bunch of people would watch a rerun of the 1970s Bob Newhart show, and every time someone on the show said, "Hi Bob!", everyone had to take a shot? (It was said several times during every episode.)

I saw too many white boys get fucked up on Tequila shots when playing that game in college. I'm glad I just watched the show without drinking.
