TV Discussion: Star Wars new series Acolyte on Disney +

If Osha or Mae sleeps with Qimir, than she is going to be disowned. They were showing her staring at his junk. This goes for any black women sleeping with Indian men also.

No more illegitimate Kamala Harris. Disowned means no BET awards or going to a top tier HBCU. When you see black this or black that don't show up. The black community won't support you politically.

This fan film was used by Disney writers. They are even in the same setting of a wooded area. He has to kill all of them to hide the fact that the Sith exists.

They should have went up to Disney to setup a lucrative deal instead of doing it for free. This is exactly what I have been talking about this slavery stealing your content. When they steal my shit they put a bunch of black lead characters in.

so this jedi master dude couldnt sense or feel mae walking up behind him with evil intent :hmm: why didnt he bring home the bodies of all those jedis:hmm:the sith couldnt tell 2 episodes ago the difference between the twins but now cant:hmm:and i havent even gotten thru 5 mins of this episode; i just cant take it anymore...

The more you try to understand or make sense of this mess of a show the more your head will hurt. At this point I'm watching it as an unintentional comedy.

oh wait she just told the sith not to move; when in the last episode he threw her away with his finger :hmm: ; im torturing myself watching this now...

That last episode was written and directed by Headland herself..no wonder

They steal content from people like me and fan YouTubers creating content, they try to pass it off as being the author.

This is why I never supported the writers guild strike

I work like hell to limit contact with them, no way I would do a movie that is historically white like Star Wars. I am pissed off when they crash shit in my cars because that causes me to deal with their bizarro asses. Something happened to my car that means being around them at some dealership.

I would turn down a deal if it meant having to be around them all day long.

Finally a few answers !!
The hidden manipulation through temptation was very strong.
Some not as amicable and receptive as once thought. I do wonder if a characters premonition was out of anger or did they really see into the future. The episode gave me a flashback of a particular scene from 1970s Beneath the Planet of The Apes.
The birth of Mae's hate and the guilt of the Jedi that were present.

The way the Chinese or korean ( dont know his name ) Jedi master acts would seem like he is the unnamed Sith lord . Self interest driven , looking for an apprentices , doing dumb shit

The Acolyte
Season One
Episodes 4 - 7

I got home last night and started these episodes and finished up this morning.

I stayed away from internet spoilers so I could watch them spoiler free.

The Sith Guy Qmir reveals himself. I was first not feeling the actor in the role by his looks, but after he revealed himself, as he spoke he grew on me. He presents a totally different depiction of a Sith from what people are accustomed too from prior SW live action/animated projects. So I suspect folks wil complain about his character. His helmet looks cheesy with those metal studs on it for “Teeth” is my primary complaint with him.

Not much went on in these episodes. Lots of talking. Episode 4 so far is the only one full of action with the characters doing a bunch lightsaber and fist fighting. We got to see a Wookiee do some Jedi stuff in episode 7.

Episode 8 is the Season Finale and debuts tonight. It looks like Yoda and possibly some other familiar characters should debut in the finale.

I will watch it tomorrow and give my final review.

The Acolyte
Episode 8 - Season Finale

I just watched this one this afternoon at home.

Nothing for an impressive ending. It was all predictable.

That cat Qmir, I now think he is not full Sith. Good chance he tapped into the darkside and has not managed to go full evil with it. I suspect he must have stumbled upon a Sith Holocron or an abandoned Sith Temple somewhere and from there, is where he increased his skills in the dark side. They debuted some sinister cat in the shadows, so it’s obvious he has struck the interest of someone out there who is a certified Sith Lord.

Overall, it’s a slow burn series. It plays out like a crime drama. They could have taken the story and used it for a series of episodes on “NCIS” or “Criminal Minds”.

Yoda debuts in a non talking cameo in the final scene.

I’m not sure where they plan on going with this series. Time will tell.

If I was doing it, being it started 100 years prior to Episode One, I would make each season a 20 year time jump with the final season going into Palpatine origins. The final series scene would lead directly into the opening scene of Episode One.

For now, we will wait and see what Disney has planned. They didn’t just throw this series out there for shits and giggles, it’s obvious they have long term plans to take this series out for about 3 or 4 seasons.

We will wait and see…

They wasted the series. Coulda been gully if they weren't trying to make it so tame. Concept was solid, good and well liked actors, ties into elements that the fans love with Yoda and the big sith (plaegus?)

I enjoyed the final and maybe 2 other episodes were cool. They shoulda had the folks from Rogue One on this. It needed some teeth and less sugar. They killed a lot of people so I know they were trying to make it tough, and a couple of the fight scenes were legit, but to me it didn't have the same zing.

If they said Fuck The Kids, many of these series would have been 10x better.

Qimir is Plagueis’ apprentice. Probably his first before Palpatine. I do remember something saying he had one prior to Palpatine, but not where I read it.
