Daniel Marino put his self in that position. I was living in Miami doing his years and I think he was the best quarterback to never win a Super Bowl but at the same time, he never wanted a solid running back alongside him and that came back to bite him in the ass every year he was playing. Also, Duper and Clayton was good, but they needed a number three receiver which they never got until the end, but it was too late.
