Here is my question. Why are so many people invested in CC downfall? Or Any rookie for that matter. I get not being a fan, thinking she overhyped, being coddled, etc. If she goes 0/10 shooting I'm cool. I look at it as her learning that there are levels to this. If she goes for 30 pts and 4/6 from behind the arch. I'm also cool with that. And see it as her being on that night. I'm not overly excited to prove a point one way or another. I also ignore any of her fans saying dumb shit. Like she can play in the NBA or Will dominate her rookie year.

Shouldn't we want some of the new faces to be successful? Not saying be a fan, but bring some more entertainment value to the league. Hell I'm already looking forward to JuJu and Paige jumping up. I would be fool to not want them to be good at the next level. It's a bit different at the NBA level. More teams and stars to pull that league. The WNBA need as many stars as possible. The league has been struggling for years to bring in viewers.

It's really simple. Because some in the media hailed her as the great white hype so they want her to fail.

I understand why they want her to fall, but I don't share that same feeling or sentiment towards her.

Do you get your stats from Kid Rock? She's 52 in the league in FG%. And there are only 12 teams.

More games can help your % just as much as it can hurt, if I played 2 games and scored 9 and 11 points then I played 2 more games and scored 20 and 24 what happens to my percentage from the first 2 games? For me it is my first time watching the WNBA or women’s basketball period. I watched some of the women’s games during the NCAA tournaments but not a ton. But I caught every Fever game.

For now teams are getting away with doubling her off the pick and roll and flashing a second player forcing her to give up the rock. Until her teammates start knocking down open shots, she will continue to face this kind of defense.

I never seen a rookie receive that much attention on defense.
