Red Lobster abruptly closes 87 locations - you cats may need to find a new spot for date night

I knew the place wasn't going to last long when they added security to the bathroom, because niggas was trying to fuck right then and there once they seen what the bitch was ordering. Niggas was trying to collect payment immediately.

"I'm telling you bitch, anything you order with the word unlimited attached to it, well you know what time it is". (As he glances towards the bathroom)

I have one right down the street from me and I'm amazed how long they have lasted. People drive into the city or further out in the burbs if they want good seafood. I don't think anyone even take dates there anymore. Oh well...

They had a little issue with their pricing, but they are quality of food just went downhill. I’m going to miss those biscuits, but I haven’t been to Red Lobster in a very, very long time.

A lot of the red lobster was empty doing Mother’s Day. That should tell you a lot about their status. I mean for crying out loud it was empty and fucking Atlanta…… you heard me and Atlanta

This is not a surprise. Business sources have been talking about red lobster possible lyn filing bankruptcy for awhile now. They lost a ton of money with their endless shrimp deal last year.

Not only that lobster hasn’t had a major upgrade for a very long time the last time I stepped foot in there which was six or seven years ago it still look the same as the fucking 90s.

The Red Lobster by me here in Ohio is packed all the damn time!!!

I get those east coast restaurants struggling with cost issues.

Red Lobster sucks to me, but a lot seem to like it.
If that’s the only decent restaurant in town, then it’s going to stay packed, but if you have more options especially like you said on the East Coast or cities like Atlanta then that’s when they hit a wall

interesting

i didn't realize Red Lobster was not owned by the Darden LLC anymore. The seafood supplier Tai Union bought them just this year

sounds like that was a good move to ditch it.

Yeah, not a ton of seafood dine in options in this city.

I’m sure this is just the beginning
I know this going to affect some people jobs but at the same time a lot of these restaurants have not been good for the last 15 or 20 years the time just ran out. As I said earlier, Red Lobster has went downhill in the last 15 to 20 years and never recovered. It was not really the pricing was the problem is the quality of food. I’m going to miss those biscuits.

finally went to one two years ago..

All I can say is this what folks been talking about

I guess if that’s all you have, it’s fiya

Another thing beside them price gouging...

Which is inexcusable considering they are OWNED be the seafood supplier

..is that most people are going to one of the many crab boil places to get their seafood fix now..and don't have to put up with the bad service and high prices

Looks like Esther won;t be going back there for a second time(fir those who remember that thread) :roflmao2:
Shifts and employees changed and yet her and her significant other was still there having the most amazing convo ever , 18+ hours of the most magnificent conversation ever being displayed

Also, there are some hood places where you get better seafood in some cases for a cheaper price. Again I’m going to miss red lobster biscuits but at the same time I haven’t stepped foot in one for a very long time so it is what it is.

My wife is from a small town and we visit once every quarter to see her family.
The local Red Lobster is the only show in town.
Its the closest thing to fine dining that they have.
Every time we go, her family insists on taking us there.
Those folks are going to lose their mind when its finally gone.

Red lobster does not have a monopoly on date night. 1 of many locations that was used.. it dies it’s still a shitload to go to
That was my go to for the closer. Big ass drinks get em tipsy.
Gimme some cheap drink spots in NYC then. You know.
