Shogun - New Mini-Series Debut On FX

With all the changes they've been making from the book and OG series, I was REALLY hoping they would change the event of the last episode.

What a lackluster end for such a bad ass character.

You think what Mariko-sama did was lackluster? You gotta be watching the Red Wedding and Jack Bauer 24 on repeat to think that.

Full disclosure I didn't read the books so it might be more intense but virtually no tv adaptations live up to the books

One of ‘Shōgun’s Best Characters Is Hiding in Plain Sight

Fuji symbolizes the importance of duty and sacrifice on Shōgun , highlighting the immense stakes in feudal Japan's political conflict. Moeka Hoshi delivers an expressive performance as Fuji, conveying emotions and thoughts through subtle actions and facial expressions. Fuji undergoes a compelling character arc, transforming from a helpless bystander to a fiercely loyal and tenacious individual in Shōgun .

Not necessarily.
Getting blown up during a ninja attack is like the finale of 9/10 superheroes flicks.

That is to say you've introduced people who can fly, shoot lasers, lift buildings, etc., but the majority of the final fight is two people kicking and punching.

There has to be about 100 cooler ways of dying during an ninja attack than an box of Acme TNT sticks by the door.

nah I'm happy about this

Tired of good shows being cancelled without them completing the story

This was a limited series that is based on the book.

Disney went into it with no plans to continue it.

But now that this series has gotten big praise from critics/viewers, Disney might continue it if there is a demand for it. It has been done in the past like with the series “MASH”.

I pointed out earlier in the thread that cats were Thirsty when HBO’s “WestWorld” had that one episode in “Samurai World”.

There is a demand for this type of content.

I was surprised to see the show was on Disney plus too I thought it was Hulu only

I was downloading the show and watching it on plex , didn’t know it was on Disney till yesterday

It’s actually on the cable network FX.

Disney owns FX and Hulu.
