People out here are probably losing their homes and life savings over sports betting.

All the data shows that most of money being won in modern sport betting is being done by a small percentage of analytics nerds with home made algorithms & spreadsheets.

That leaves the other 90+% of regular people to lose their kid's college fund bit by bit on a daily basis.

I love the idea. Hopefully some of the international rules and officiating can bled into the league.

I don't condone people taking it to that level, but I've pointed out multiple times where players got right up to the line and magically had zero interest in scoring after that. It's happened too many times to be a coincidence.

Now that people are losing money they can't afford to lose, they're noticing things like this and it'll only get worse.

The sportsbooks don't help either. Certain ones like Hard Rock Bet (the only legal one in Florida) give terrible odds to bets that are even remotely safe while encouraging people to do parlays knowing that one player missing one shot, rebound, etc will fuck up a parlay that could have turned $5 into $5,000.
