I may be wrong, but I seem to remember TK pushing the tribalism stuff on Twitter all the time. The dude that posted it DID post it on some tribalism shit though. He's a WWE stan and if he found and posted that, he surely saw that the case was dismissed. Posting about the suit in the way he did was for one very specific reason, to shit on AEW, that's it that's all.

AEW fans/stans shouldn't get upset when WWE fans/stans call out their leader for his hypocrisy, when he's the one that brings up WWE on his tweets from time to time.
If anyone is responsible for tribalism in wrestling, it's Tony Khan himself.
The tribalism talk is between AEW and WWE fans/stans. Who's talking about tribalism before AEW existed? Are you SERIOUSLY trying to act like tribalism didn't exist before Tony coked up ass?? Please tell me you're not serious...
Funny how TK, Jericho and all the AEW stans were shouting about how they won the "Wednesday Night War" against NXT, TK went out of his way to bash Vince and present AEW as this wholesome company where everyone gets along and it's all sunshine and rainbows. The tribalism talk is between AEW and WWE fans/stans. I'm not saying it didn't exist prior to AEW, but it was never as bad until TK and AEW came on the scene pushing their us against them narrative.
They made their whole existence early on taking shots at WWE claiming to be an alternative.
Crazy thought, but maybe this new booker is trying to expand the viewership to be more mainstream (and not so niche) by having champions that a lot more people here in America actually know.Tanahashi needs to take all booking duties away from Gedo. That was probably one of the worse booked New Japan shows I've ever seen.
Cody is largely responsible in the beginning. Take the bashing of the throne with the sledge hammer for instance. Cody had said his stance on us vs them approach created disconnect between him and the rest of the EVP's/Elite because they just wanted to create an alternative product insted of trying to go head to head with WWE. Somewhere along the lines Tony became like a Mark Cuban type of owner (if you're a basketball head then you understand the reference) and became more hands on in a good way and bad way. Tony is doing the right thing about pushing his product but has gone the wrong way about doing it at times.I may be wrong, but I seem to remember TK pushing the tribalism stuff on Twitter all the time.

Both of them are good workers, not sure why there would be outrage against them winning titles.
Do they not broadcast their show outside of Japan?I know you don't watch New Japan but Gedo isn't new bro. He's been booking New Japan since 2010. He use to be good but he's lost his way in these last four years. This was a show in front of a Japanese audience IN JAPAN. They don't know who Dolph Ziggler is. It doesn't make sense to put a belt on him in his debut match right out the gate. He has to get over with the Japanese audience and earn that shit. New Japan is losing its fanbase. Attendance numbers are down in Japan. Losing Okada and Ospreay are gonna make matters worse. Maybe Tanahashi can turn things around but right now the company is in bad shape.
Didn't Dolph just sign with TNA? Having him carry that belt on TNA TV gives more exposure to NJPW here stateside, especially with a known talent such as Dolph carrying that belt on USA television....I know you don't watch New Japan but Gedo isn't new bro. Dolph is known. Wasn't there a big deal made when he showed up at at NJPW show a few months ago and got physical altercation? Why do all that if Dolph wasn't know to their audiences?Do they not broadcast their show outside of Japan?
Also, that's a big assumption that they don't know who Dolph is. I'm sure WWE is watched over in Japan to some extent.
American wrestlers have been going over to Japan for decades now.
They wouldn't keep getting booked over there if the fans there didn't have some familiarity them.

....It helps grow an audience and puts eyes on their product. If it gets TNA fans to watch NJPW, what's the problem? It's not because nobody watches TNA like that and they're not gonna start because Dolph has a New Japan belt.
OK, and? So Japanese audiences won't watch the Japanese wrestling promotion when they do a show on American soil? Why should they not be familiar with Dolph, especially since he appeared on a NJPW show prior to winning that belt? That particular NJPW show was in the States though. Of course American audiences are gonna know who he is. Japanese audiences aren't as familiar with him.

What the hell is Gedo doing? Shessh.
Dolph is the biggest star TNA has signed in yearsNA and NJPW have done a lot of joint shows together, so TNA fans are already watching NJPW. Don't need Dolph for that.
That's their problem. Some will, some won't but the majority won't.
Funny, that's the same reaction I have whenever INSERT JAPANESE TALENT HERE shows up on AEW TV.All they know is some blonde Gaijin (foreigner) wrestler showed up at a NJPW event and now he's won a belt. Very few Japanese know of Dolph's track record in the WWE.
Tanahashi the President of NJPW

President can override the booker decisionHe's not the booker!
