Norway has agreed to help facilitate the transfer of the Palestinian Authority’s tax revenues that Israel has been withholding from Ramallah, Oslo announced on Sunday, in a framework aimed at providing vital funding to the cash-strapped PA.

Under interim peace accords reached in the 1990s, Israel’s Finance Ministry collects tax revenues on behalf of the PA and makes monthly transfers to Ramallah, but a dispute broke out over the payments in the wake of Hamas’s October 7 terror onslaught.

The Israeli cabinet refused to transfer the portion of the funds that Ramallah uses to pay for services and employees in Gaza, arguing that the money could reach Hamas. The roughly $75 million in revenues amounts to about a quarter of the entire monthly transfer.

By providing security to dictators (Cameroon for example) they're burnt when it comes to the continent. Apparently he forgot that the major part of African countries voted against Israel at the UN assembly and most of them are aligned with South Africa.

Meanwhile, government spending, mainly on war expenses and compensating businesses and households, jumped by 88.1%

It won't change the situation, at the core of Israel's problem you have their military model composed mainly by reservists (civilians in arms). It's all good when the conflict is short in time Six-Day war , Yom Kippur 20 days but now we're more than three months into their ground operation without a clear end in sight. Hezbollah took them by surprise with its tactics and of course Houthis are simply destroying their economy in the south.

Bidden is simply throwing money into a hole , a big one !
