Just watched the Press Conference show on Peacock. Goddamn that was more entertaining than some episodes of Raw. Lolz, yeah I'm a WWE Mark....but the storytelling they are doing is coming together. Love when WWE mixes realism with the entertainment world of pro wrestling. If there ever were an example of Vince McMahons touch no longer being on the product, tonight's press conference would have been it.

That shit was dope. I just wish they do a promo with Cody explaining what happened last week on Smackdown, because I can see how some may still be confused with what was going on.

I said it last week, there is still so much time to tell the story and tonight they really went in on the storytelling, even if it started a little sloppy last week.

Fuck, now I'm excited for WrestleMania. Dammit lol

What the fuck is happening on this page?
Wtf is this press conference shit?
Did this air on TV?

3 hour Raw, 2 hour Smackdown, how ever long NXT is :dunno:, and they still gotta story tell in extra press conferences

It was a press conference to set up the matches and main event for Wrestlemania, which is now confirmed as Roman vs. Cody.
It aired on Peacock, YouTube, and WWE social media feeds.
They do these press conferences every year for WM, but this one was especially intriguing since the main even was still up in the air.
It was honestly better than any RAW or Smackdown you'll see with the story being told.

This was such a a success, I think WWE will do this moving forward. They will piggyback off Super Bowl week, run the annual WrestleMania press conference in the Super Bowl city to hype up Mania, due to the intersection between Football fans and wrestling fans..

It sounds amazing.
I didn't watch Raw yet this week. I was gonna wait until Saturday morning to watch Raw & Smackdown together.

And I'm pissed to be learning about all these important developments thru social media and BGOL.

Now that AEW has signed Mercedes Mone this is what TK needs to do with the division.

- Tony needs to take a step back and bring in someone to book the women's division properly. Hire Scott D'Amore or someone with real experience. It's time to really double down and make this work.

- Mercedes needs to be on TV every week whether she's wrestling or not.

- There needs to be at least two women's matches/segments on every show.

- Get Athena off of ROH and back on AEW TV.

- Britt Baker needs to be Mercedes's first feud/program. Great feud to start right out the gate.

- Introduce the Women's version of the Continental classic tournament.

- Use Stardom's faction format to storytelling. Put every wrestler in a faction and have a top wrestler be the cornerstone of each faction. For example...

Athena's faction
Britt Baker's faction
Mercedes's faction
Shida's faction
Thunder Rosa's faction
Toni Storm's faction

And so forth. Doing this makes it easier to book singles, tags, and trios feuds while also developing on going storylines. Plus it gets more women on tv and it creates an environment where fans can root for a specific wrestler within a faction. Stardom are masters at this.

Also, I think they need to bring in a Women's Tag Team Title Belts in the Division!!..They have enough women wrestlers on the roster to do that!!..

Damn, WWE cooked with that press conference. :barbeque:

Looks like The Rock and Roman are aligned now vs. Cody and Seth.
I'm guessing a tag team match for Elimination Chamber and then finally Cody vs. Roman at WM
Theyll most likely pull the trigger on Damian cashing in at WM..

Agreed. Way too much wrestling as it is. What’s the point of promos if u have to have a press conference? Glad I don’t pay for any of this crap

I don't recall their press conferences being as big or marketed like this one.

They can call this a press conference, but this was a show.

Their normal press conferences are in special concert halls designed for press conferences & they basically go over a card we already know.

This was a show in front of a live crowd, with entrances, catchphrases, & promos. Only thing missing was an actual wrestling match.

And I damn sure don't recall any previous press conferences that basically rewrote the card in-between an airing of a Raw and Smackdown.

This shit was great because you know why? We don’t know what is going on. All these dirt sheet fans who want shit to go there way? Confused and this is what it’s suppose to do.
I can't argue with you that this is great for throwing a unexpected monkey wrench in the mix and making things exciting.

I just wish they could have waited a single day and did all this on Smackdown tonight.

I'm honestly mad that I found all this out online. I know the current business model could give a fuck less about ratings, if the segment are getting retweeted and is trending world wide. But fuck the current business model :dunno:

Put that shit on a Smackdown or Raw. 5 hours of content a week is more than enough of an investment. I'm not now nor never joining the social media platforms so I can stay plugged in 24/7.

Is it exciting that anything can happen at anytime.... yes
It still needs to happen on a Monday or Friday night :dunno:

Some of y'all sound upset over them having a press conference, which they've always done for WM and even some of the other big PPVs.
This press conference was hyped up and bigger than usual because it was in the same city as the Super Bowl, The Rock is involved, and because there was such an uproar from fans over who would be in the main event.
It was advertised on Raw, so if you missed Raw that's on you.
WWE (and any other promotion) should absolutely use press conferences and social media to build up their matches and advance storylines.
Everything doesn't have to presented on Raw or Smackdown.

Well I’m expecting some more stuff from Smackdown. This whole ordeal should be a nice ratings boost for Smackdown. Hopefully they don’t kill this momentum they’ve built.

I’m not a big press watcher but I for sure remember Mayweather at the presser for his Mania match. I thought they do this every year.

They need to tighten that division up overall and create some stable tag teams before they introduce tag titles. They got a lot of work to do before going down that road.
