The Cody decision is getting destroyed online. The only way they can save this is if there is some kind of a plot twist and Cody and the Rock are working together to setup Roman and Cody does indeed end up facing Roman at Wrestlemaina otherwise this is more of a fumble than last year.

Folks are all worked up. What Roman said about Seth and his title is what everybody feels. It ain't real until that belt is off of Roman. Everything else is filler. They should have broken the belts up, then gave the Raw one the design Seth's belt has. It's just a mess. But, since they didn't do that, I'm just along for the ride at this point. They have a lot of pieces to move around for Mania. And with Punk hurt and Seth hurt. They got shit to figure out. We still have to see what they plan to do at Elimination Chamber.
Yeah I just watched that. If he doesn't face Roman on night 2 then that's some foul shit.

I can't make a more disappointed face right now if I tried. After four years of great storytelling, the story no longer matter because Rock the Dwayne pushed for it.
Are we sure Vince doesn't still have a finger in the pot? When he came out I thought they were going with Rock the Dwayne as special guest referee. So that way when Solo comes out to make the safe, Rock the Dwayne could hit him with the Rock Bottom. Then deliver the 3 count in Roman himself.
Still would have been bullshit, but to pull a straight Hogan/Bret Hart. And this is the Mania they decided to bring to Philly.
Y'all know Mania international crowds rarely ever cheer and boo who they're supposed to. You add Philly to the mix and you got the recipe for a Mania crowd and take over and/or fuck up your show.

Yeah I just don’t disagree I was not up for Roman and Cody. Rock and Roman needs to happen. That’s the real story. I don’t get fans….wrestling ones anyway. Not saying this is anyone in here but fans really get mad when things don’t go the way they wrote it in their head….let Rock and Roman get their shit I don’t I guess I’m just ehh on Cody and don’t want to see a title run with him.
Okay let me paint this slide, Rock beats Roman due to Bloodline interference. Becomes the new head of the table and reigns and cheats and heels it up as The Real Tribal Chief for a year. I went back and watched this week AEW Dynamite!!..It was a good action packed show!!..The first match with Moxley vs Jeff Hardy was good!!..It looks like Jeff Hardy is about to turn heel or just don't give a fuck!!..That Hangman vs Toa Loina match was good as well...The segment with Bullet Club Gold and The Acclaimed was cool..Man, I hope Bullet Club Gold is setting things up to turn on The Acclaimed and take those Trios Belts off of them!!..The Jericho vs Kyle Fletcher match was good!!...The last match with Swerve vs RVD was good!!..Good to see RVD came back and wrestle..Swerve and RVD put on a good match!!..

It sucks that so much can be missed with all of the drama and how fast the days go by. We got a lot of good wrasslin going on with some guys who are in the final stages of their careers. Sometimes you gotta step back and take the good things in while they last.
There is still weeks worth of story to be told. Is it the way I would have told it, probably not, but I’m a wrestling fan, not a wrestling booker.

Exactly. Wrestling fans are fickle indeed. Its like they want the story to go how they want it with a happy ending. I know they are going to shoe horn and wreck the whole Roman vs. Rock match out of spite. Cody is like Beniot, Kofi, Mankind his character is the underdog who never gives up chasing the big one. Once he wins he becomes boring. Another thing to think about once Tribal Chief loses then what? U killed the best character u had in the company since the attitude era just to have an happy ending with Rhodes. Roman's whole mistique is him being like A thanos bad guy thats unbeatable. Trust me when Roman loses its going to be like the end of End Game when Thanos lost. Yeah u beat the ultimate bad guy and got a happy ending but now what.....bring out Kang?

They became boring because WWE doesn't know how to write stories that make their babyfaces look cool and interesting. Since we're using Marvel comparisons characters like Logan/Wolverine, Spiderman, Ironman, Captain America, Wanda Maximoff, etc never get boring because it's not just about them beating a bad guy but it's about their personal inward struggle and their interactions with the rest of society.
Write something new and interesting for your babyface. That's what you're paying these writers for. A babyface can still have obstacles to face while still being a champion.
Then you do something different. Did Marvel end after Endgame? Of course not. You pivot to other stories. Marvel has a ton of them. WWE wrote a hot story and now they're running it into the ground. This is what happened with the nWo storyline back in WCW. It was good until they rested on their laurels and ran the storyline to death. Fans started tuning out. This Roman/Bloodline story has become to the equivalent of watching a 10 hour version of Avengers: Endgame. At some point the movie has got to fucking end.
Yep, Rock and Roman is where the money is. If some fans are upset, oh well.
Funny enough, it's the known WWE haters that are most vocal against Rock vs. Roman.
I'm sure WWE had to pivot and call an audible once CM Punk and Brock Lesnar were no longer available.

Tony Khan in a few years when Cody's WWE contract runs out and he returns to AEW.
Wishful thinking that AEW will be around in its current form in a few years.
Also wishful thinking that any of the AEW defectors would ever go back AEW.
Unlike TK, WWE does not make all their booking decisions based on what some fans online want.
I'm certainly not mad that the story isn't playing out the way I want. If I were booking Mania, night 2 would be a 3 hour gauntlet match where Roman smashes the roster one by one, ending in stack pinning Rhodes & Drew. Cause you're tribal chief don't miss.
But that's why I'm not a booker.
I'm disappointed because I don't want Rock the Dwayne anyway near Roman's tirle run. We're right back to CM Punk's legendary title reign. Multiple years of good storytelling and they fumble at the 5 yd line because Rock the Dwayne is box office.
Why not finish the story, everyone's story at this Mania. Cody's title chase, Roman's legendary run, etc. Roman v Rock the Dwayne will always be box office money. It doesn't need the title to be important. And they could have had a year to properly build to it, for next year's Mania.
This audible is a clear cut panic move. They just signed a big deal multi-year, multi-million dollar contract in the same week that Vince finally got me too'd. Could/Should have happened years ago, but here we are.
Anytime WWE is panic they run to their box office draw. Once it was Hogan screwing over Hart for the sure thing nostalgic orgasmic hit. At another point it was Rock the Dwayne jumping over Punk. And now he's back to do it to Rhodes because Vince fucked up.
Mania isn't until April. They still have 2 months to build a card. Running to Rock the Dwayne now is nothing but panic. A move to guarantee that Mania does enough mainstream and crossover business to offset the wrestling fans who are gonna to turn away.
