He used his injured arm to throw a punch/forearm blow at Drew…. The minute I saw that I questioned the injury.

Perhaps he hurt his arm, but I have my doubts it’s as bad as they are letting on. Could be a way to keep him out of the ring on Monday nights, on a part time schedule as a lead up to Mania.
I ain't gonna lie to tear his shit ona DDT seems wild.
One of the main reasons why he left AEW was so he could return to the WWE and win the World Championship and do something his father never did. That's his motivation and focus hence "finishing the story". This isn't just about him main eventing.

The build up has taken long enough. He's pretty much the top babyface in the company. Crown his ass.
I’m not saying don’t ever put the title on him what I’m saying is it doesn’t have to be at Mania.

It should
Be about what’s best for the company not what’s best for Cody.

Again, all the IWC mark bookers just want WWE to "hurry up and put the belt on Cody" with no thought as to what comes next.
Ok, let's say Cody won the belt and finished the story at last year's WM. Now what next?
That's one of the problems AEW has.
They rush all their storylines to appease to their hardcore fanbase instead of letting the storylines play out long-term.

Why not? Having Cody lose two years in a row at Wrestlemania makes him look weak.

If Cody is your top babyface going forward why wouldn't him winning be what’s best for the company? Roman has held that title hostage long enough. He hardly ever wrestles and his matches are boring. At least with Cody you're gonna get high quality matches with zero fuckery involved. It would be a breath of fresh air.

That's the job of the writers. it's their job to come up with fresh interesting storylines just like any show on TV. Roman has had the title for three damn years. If you haven't come up with a new storyline post Roman dropping the belt by now then you need to get new writers.

No storyline should be stretched out to three years. That's ridiculous. A year and half max is long enough for any story to be told.

Exactly. That's what hurts them. Caring too much about what the public thinks. Do your shit. Fans don't run your product lol.

It doesn't make him look weak lol. He ain't losing to Hornswoggle he's losing to the strongest guy in the business. And i'm sure guys will interfere and do whatever they need to do to continue to make Cody and Roman strong.

Sometimes the chase is better then the payoff. I think Cody will have a solid title run at some point but right now he would not hurt if they made him lose to Roman again.

And to me Roman and Bloodline saved the WWE. The product was boring and they made it must see TV. Right now everyone knows Cody will get the title at some point. Use that to your advantage. You don't have to give him the title just because the people want it or its what's expected. Time it right. WWE isn't like AEW. Its product is its story. Its just like any other episodic series or sitcom. You don't cave to fans.

The storyline hasn't been 3 years. Do you mean a title reign? Shit man a title reign can go on for as long as possible.

This is what the 4th significant injury in his two years since returning to prowrestling?

Doesn't matter if the injury is a work, serious, or a way to write him out of the ring until Mania.

Just imagine if they would have went with Punk winning the Rumble, only to show up the very next night in an arm case.

You can't have a person in the title picture who's health is questionable match to match. It's the thing I hate most legends coming back for one more run.

CM Punk, Orton, Cena, Rock the Dwayne, etc... None of these peoples should be near the title picture. You're legends, you won titles and don't need them anymore for legitimacy. And your old ass bodies can't be trusted for longterm storytelling.

Made In America Lex Luger says hi

So come Mania, Cody will have oficially been back for 3 years. I ask because I'm trying to find the best delivery of his, "so what do you want to talk about, line and for the life of me, the best one I can find wasn't even from Cody.

The "so what do you want to talk about?" line is kinda corny and I honestly thought it was a just a one-off when he first came back to WWE from AEW.
Like, there's no way for the audience to really respond off that line. What is the audience supposed to shout out?
"Inflation!" "War in the Middle East!" "High taxes!" LOL
It's clearly a play off that promo he gave in AEW as he was on his way out and headed to WWE and he should have left it there.

I'd die laughing if the crowd eventually turns on Cody and starts doing just that. We need mass cooperation thru twitter or something to organize the chants.

"So, what do you want to talk about?"
"MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES W/ PENGUINS!!!!"

Except he's not the strongest guy in the business. He needs help to win every match. If we're telling a story here think of it in terms of kayfabe. When was the last time Roman beat anybody clean? A true champion doesn't need help to win.

And i'm sure guys will interfere and do whatever they need to do to continue to make Cody and Roman strong.

Interference doesn't make anybody look strong it actually does the opposite. My co-worker who watches WWE doesn't even bother watching Roman matches anymore because of the constant shenanigans in each match.

It actually would hurt because when Cody eventually does beat Roman it will be anti-climactic.

It was a good storyline but now it's stale. Time for a new direction. This was the problem WCW had with the nWo storyline back in the day. They ran that shit into the ground and people stop caring.

You run the risk of turning off fans if you extend the third act of the story too long.
