Wonder Woman
1975 - 1979

MAX has all 3 seasons.

The last time I saw this series was when it originally aired. I can barely remember season 2 and 3.

Started watching last night the Pilot episode. Going to try and watch an episode or two a day. Hopefully get it done in a month or two being the new TV season is getting ready to kick in later this month.

It’s a campy, corny series. The first film somewhat followed the TV pilot.

But looking at Lynda Carter’s fine Ass makes up for the corniness, HaHa!!!

Synopsis

Diana Prince, a true Amazonian with special powers, fights bad guys in a skintight outfit. In classic `wham, bam' comic-book style, Wonder Woman catches people in her magic lasso of truth and uses her golden belt and bracelets to deflect things such as bullets.

They'll probably kill his character off..

Echo season 1 episodes 1 to 5

Under its new Spotlight banner Echo is supposed to be something for more mature audiences.
The story is definitely more sinister and visually more brutal than Marvels latest streaming releases.
There are great performances from the cast. Alaqua Cox's performance as Echo has great range as each episode plays out. As her grandfather Skully (Graham Greene), and grandmother Chula (Tantoo Cardinal) they have a great, playful comfortable feel together even 33 years after their coupling in Dances with Wolves. They easily shift gears between being dramatic and humorous. Vincent D’Onofrio is great as ever as Kingpin. Marvel does the usual family set ups with a silly cousin Biscuits (Cody Lightning). A caring and concerned cousin Bonnie (Devery Jacobs) and uncle Henry, played by Chaske Spencer. Disney continues to make alterations to certain characters and most of it works here. Yes there is violence but it's not nearly as brutal as I thought it would be I don't even think I heard that much profanity. So I can tell Disney is not in full Mature Mode.
They didn't waste anytime to what I was looking forward to in the series. A good job is done celebrating indigenous culture. There is good raw emotion displayed that's connected to familial ties, regret and betrayal. Some parts of the story play out in lackluster ways.
In the fifth episodes stinger I wish what happened was already in place in episode one because it would have fit right in with something that occurs in the episode.

Scale of 1 to 10 a 7½

The Curse season finale

What A Long Strange Trip it has been This series about phony
"White Saviors" and their fake selfless concern was cringey and umcomfortable for the most part and such an odditiy i couldnt stop watching. It was the pull back the curtain style on reality TV. The performances from the entire cast including Emma Stone, Nathan Fielder, Benny Safdie, Barkhad Abdi and Hikmah Warsame. Also the people of Española, N.M. recognizing that they were being used and turning the tables on Asher and Whitney to benefit themselves. Was there a bit of sincerity in the characters....maybe. As the show went along it felt like Whitney was trying to seek redemption from something she was a part of with her parents.
Not really shocked the way it ended because of the surreal aura the show has had from the beginning. In the end theres a hey the world is finally seeing ME feel to it. The happiness of not having to deal with someone again.
Is a season 2 necessary? I dont think so but it would be interesting to see what they come up with

Another show filmed in @Helico-pterFunk 's hometown..

@ThaBurgerPimp

We’ve had a cold snap here the past few days. Been taking the skytrain to work to avoid driving. It’s interesting getting the bird’s eye view of businesses and roadways. Just went by the production studio(s) along the Burnaby - Vancouver border yesterday evening. I believe you and others have noted they filmed some of Stargate and other similar sci-fi shows there over the years.

And I think some of the Percy Jackson stuff more recently. Heard an interview with Jason Manzoukis and he said he was here filming in Vancity. Did not say where ...
