Adam Cole did all of that just to watch Samoa Joe win the title. I guess that's how he drew it up from the beginning. Now MJF and Cole can feud with no stakes as neither have anything of value. Joe is the perfect transitional champion as they can now put the title on anyone they want whether it is Swerve or anyone else. And I knew the moment that Kingston threw the ROH title in the pot that he was winning but they made me doubt it briefly when he start the tournament slow. Hopefully they get better in 2024.

I agree in what you're sayin!!..

There's were a lot of pieces that had to be moved around to end it with guys in a better position by the end of. The men who could afford to carry the tournament did until it was time for them to lose. Garcia got a great win. Brody King got a great showcase. Danielson does what Danielson does. Swerve and White weren't gonna win, but they got to be showcased well. We got matches that can be revisited in feuds, or future tournaments. Mark didn't have to win. Lethal wasn't, but he could afford to lose. And Kingston cool as a winner. The question is what what to do going forward with the title situation.

I think he will lost the NJW Belt and The ROH Title and focus on being the new AEW Continental Champ!!...That what I think!!..

Someone asked Tony about the Jericho accusations and he said he couldn't speak to unsourced internet rumors. And there you have it. That's that. Back to your regular schedule program.
Well, I guess that's that then.
I'm confident TK will conduct a very thorough investigation just like he did with the Punk/Elite altercation last year. :rolleyes2:

[TK]: "Hey Jericho, did you do that stuff you're accused of?"
[Jericho]: "No".
[TK to the public]: "Ok, that wraps up our thorough investigation into the matter. Tune into Dynamite on Wednesday!"

The same Swerve that broke into Hangman's house and threatened to harm his infant child?
Doesn't sound like a babyface to me.

Like I said in a previous post last week the majority of wrestlers in AEW are tweeners meaning they can flip flop from babyface to heel and vise versa dependent on the story. Someone can be a babyface one month and then the next be a heel If the story takes it there. Look at Adam Cole. Was a face earlier in the year then he got hurt and NOW he's a heel. He could easily go back to being face if the storyline calls for it. Swerve right now is a face while a month or so ago he was a heel.

There won't be an investigation because there's no evidence of wrong doing on Jericho's part. Right now it's in the hearsay stage. If in the future actual evidence is presented in the form of an eyeball witness, audio/video recording, etc to backup said accusations then at that point an investigation will be conducted. Right now however TK is not gonna entertain internet rumors.

LOL. Don't forget about these. Shame on Martha Hart pimping out Owen's name for a company that can't air any wrestling footage on him.

About the same within WWE... I can't name them like you but they have 3, 4 or 5 different shows with multiple champions. No different.

Not really....
  • WWE Universal Championship (Smackdown)
  • World Championship (Raw)
  • US Championship (Smackdown)
  • Undisputed Tag Championships (Both)
  • Intercontinental Championship (Raw)
  • Women's World Championship (Raw)
  • WWE Women's Championship (Smackdown)
  • Women's Tag Championships (both?)
Their titles are also somewhat "reserved" for their respective shows/brand.

WWE Heavyweight Championship
WWE Undisputed Universal Championship (Once Roman loses I think they'll change the name to just the WWE Championship)
WWE US Championship
WWE Intercontinental Championship
WWE Women's Championship
WWE Women's World Championship
WWE Raw Tag Team Championships
WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championships
WWE Women's Tag Team Championships (Merged with NXT Women's Championship)
NXT Championship
NXT Women's Championship
NXT North American Championship
NXT Heritage Cup
NXT Tag Team Championship

14 over 3 brands. They should merge the Raw & Smackdown Tag Team Belts.

I wasn't even counting NXT since he mentioned WWE.

14 titles across three brands ain't as bad as 14 across one.

24/7 Championship
Heritage Cup
Then you have
Breakout Star and Money In the Bank contract holders

I'm thinking they're going to get rid of the ROH & NJPW titles and have the Continental title defended on all 3 brands.
Tony doesn't run NJPW so I don't know how he could get rid of that belt. And he never gets rid of titles he just adds more

ROH also has a trios championship, the ROH Pure championship and they're adding a women's world tv title on ROH as well.

Alvarez is speculating but for the sake of saying If Mercedes has indeed signed with AEW and makes her debut this Wednesday it means ...

1. She was negotiating with WWE to come back but she wanted more money than Charlotte and become the highest paid women's wrestler in WWE and they told her to kick rocks. This would corroborate the reports of contract talks breaking down between both parties.

2. TK gave her the bag and creative control she wanted and she will be the face of the AEW Women's division going forward. This would explain why she was filing for all those trademarks under the name Mercedes Mone. You don't waste time doing that if you're going back to WWE.
