I think you make a good point with the first sentence but I find the second questionable.

Why do you think they are playing harder this year?

I honestly don't know, but I don't believe that people are playing hard now because they could have won 500k a month ago. Lol.

There were great games this season before the tournament started, outside of the tournament while the IST was happening, and now great games after it.

I have Kobe over Curry all-time but it's not a goat debate if there's 5 names in the debate.

There is no GOAT debate. People don't want to accept LeBron has the best career and production and is still going so they're pretending lesser players are in the convo. Kobe and Curry fans feel entitled to clout chase off LeBron's story because he is a bigger star and they wish those guys were on his level. Neither have legacies that they are willing to put above players before them unapologetically. They'll say they are better than LeBron but pussy out of saying Curry is better than Kobe or MJ or Kobe being better than MJ loudly. Those arent real bball legacies unfortunately.

Shaq also doesn't mind throwing Curry in a GOAT convo because it's harmless. It doesn't push the needle or make Michael Jordan and his stans feel insecure. No one takes it serious. Projecting LeBron as the GOAT hurts feelings because it's a no brainer at this point.

3 full on display examples of Shaq being a plum idiot and showing why his opinions are shit and should not be taken seriously. Dude is there simply to play bully and buffoon.

Shaq is a Gen X'er. Kenny is a Gen X'er who was MJs college teammate. Until you filter out these older super biased voices that want to keep their eras propped up for financial opportunities and limelight, the fans and discourse will continue to be dumbed down.

There's no such thing as pound for pound in basketball.

I think it makes sense! How else can you compare Centers to forwards to guards?

I think Wilt was clearly the most dominant NBA player ever relative to his peers. Without even getting into the eras discussion, though, how can you compare his offensive dominance to Kobe's? It's so much easier for a Wilt or Shaq than for an MJ or Kobe and much easier for them than someone like Steph or Russell Westbrook.

If you are trying to have a conversation about skill, I think you have to take size into account. You can make a case for Shaq as the GOAT but part of why nobody does is he clearly was not even close to pound for pound as skilled as other people in the discussion.

It makes as much sense to consider pound for pound in basketball as it does in boxing, IMO.

Man, Shaq comes through will his best night ever as an analyst and it is just pearls before swine.

He is right about the Draymond narrative. It reminds me a little of when Dave Chappelle was supposedly crazy. It seems a particular type of person gets talked about that way.

Sometimes i don't know if he's keeping it real or trolling.

And I trust his opinion when it comes to Kobe. It really shouldn't matter that Kobe got hurt and didn't have the same amazing success that LeBron had or if LeBron was a better older player regardless of injury.

Shaq was there for peak Kobe. He saw him in his prime. This "GOAT" conversation is too much about averages. Nobody does that with Muhammad Ali. If you look at him fight and nobody could beat the guy you saw, you don't average that with how he performed 10 years later.

I remember when people were saying Kobe > MJ. Shaq remembers it. Props to him for not forgetting.

Nah it's crazier than that... Comanche's arrest warrant implies it was a revenge killing set up by the 19 year old chick (who he says was his ex)

She had beef with the victim cuz the victim was telling people she was involved in a double murder that some other dude (supposedly her current boyfriend) is in jail for

Here's the thing.

You don't compare centers to forwards to guards in terms of their skills and attributes. You can only compare them in terms of their achievements.

Shaq's skillset is completely different then Curry's skillset. Curry will never have to box-out, time a block, time a rebound, make a post move, wrestle, out muscle... Never.

So because the skillset is so different, you can't answer the question "what if they were the same size." Centers are not centers if you took away their size. Their game is not their game if you took away their size. Curry wouldn't be able to dribble, shoot and move like that at Shaq's size either.

The comparison because completely invalid.

Boxing uses pound for pound because the game is the same throughout all the weight divisions. The skill is the same. They learn the same things, work the same drills, throw the same combos, footwork, head movement...nothing really changes from feather to heavy.

Steph best shooter in the history of basketball.

Pound for pound, he’s pretty clearly the GOAT.

Steph is the greatest SHOOTER ever but he's nowhere near the best PLAYER, in basketball there's two sides of the court and like 4-5 different stats, Jordan will always be the G.O.A.T. to me, if Lebron didn't cry and flop so much I'd probably put him over Jordan

That's the frustrating part
The answers are obvious but stubbornness prevents greatness

When the coach cares more about being right than what's right then you're 13-14 when you should easily be 20-7

Hopefully his head is out of his keester now

How’s Jordan Poole doing over there?

THE FUCKING DISTRICT!!!!
As i said he would.

Comparing an emotionally unstable role player with impulse control, to a GOAT level comedian who pushed back on white supremacist control and corporate greed/theft while walking away from $50 million dollars is wildly imbecilic.
Seems like kuminga and tjd should've been playing way more for a while now

Wonder who was mentioning that

Wonder why they weren't playing
Cant have violent disgruntled agape mouf fool having his minutes cut while on a $100 million contract. This latest suspension frees you guys to bench and trade him now tho. Making room for the young guys to play more.
I’d say ,

1. Jordan
2.Steph/LeBron tie
I'd say,

You're a got dam idiot.

This is Kerr your talking about lol.

Eh. Seasons 2 and 3 of Chappelle's Show were not GOAT-level work. If he were a basketball player, he'd be criticized for not getting his team to the playoffs those years. That's not even getting into what you and your shoe-obsessed friend would say about his mid-career retirement...

And I don't really consider disgracefully playing into anti-black stereotypes "pushing back on white supremacist control." Glad he realized what he was doing, though, and made an effort to correct.

I saw him when he came out here a few weeks ago-- New special drops 12/31. Very funny in parts but not his best work.

Carlin > Kobe > LeBron > Curry > Chappelle > Draymond > Chris Rock
