Official 2025 NFL Off Season Discussion!!!

(6) wins against the Jets,Miami Bills, Just had to win (3) additional games .The NFL turned a blind eye to their scandals bcuz they wanted to create America's favorite football team. The Jersey had the team colors of the American flag. The dynasty came about when the country was looking for PATRIOTISM after Sept 11th. A team that you either love or hate like a Floyd Mayweather fight. Win or lose you was glued to the game. Good for TV ratings. The NFL (The Tuck Rule, Spygate,Deflategate etc) And Fans placed Tom Brady on a pedestal so high he was compared to Michael Jordan ...go figure. Placed him so high that in a league that's dominated by blacks his NFL records would be damn near impossible to break ...that's why it's no surprise the NFL was trying to place McCaffrey and Kupp up on NFL'S Mount Rushmore with Brady .There is nothing extradinary about their athleticism..just that they get more touches ,more targets than anyone else.

What does that have to do with Eagles
It has everything to do with you saying no Black person should be against a Black QB.

Unless that only applies to a Black Eagles QB.

Because, there are A LOT of people on this board against Dak Prescott.

Yup.

Man Tepper shelling out a lot of cash to these ex coaches. Dude already getting 36 million from the Colts.

Carolina OL sucks and Bryce has zero weapons. None. Terrance Marshall sucks, Adam Thielin old asf, and Mingo has been trash.
Carolina had a bad squad this year but they fucked up when they moved away from the black coach last year. And I am not sold on their quarterback, even though he is black, but his stature is problematic for me especially he’s not fast.

And Taysom
Nah, wouldn't have helped. Have you looked at that squad?
If Wilks stays Foreman probably stays too considering how much they relied on the power running game when he coached them last season and how effective Foreman was

Naw this above coaching. Tepper needs to fire his damn Management team. The panthers won’t go anywhere until he brings in a GM that can draft some solid talent.

In the last few drafts that’s haven’t hit on any good players. The tackle they got from NC State looks decent, but it’s been a team with no talent for awhile.

They've made bad personnel decisions for years. Not going to be fixed in one season. Hell, even the trade for Young was a fail.
Everything you both are saying goes back to the root of the problem. The general manager. Why in the fuck is he still employed. He makes all the personnel decisions.

I totally get that we usually want black coaches to be successful
But, I would pump the brakes a little, on the Steve Wilks praise
Right now he is the defensive coordinator of the 49ers
And to be honest, most 9er fans are not exactly thrilled with him so far

During the 1st half of the season, people were legit calling for his job
But luckily these past few games, after the Chase Young trade, they made some adjustments
So he's doing an "okay" job right now, but the jury is still out on him

UNC just broke it down on ESPN. Tepper got to spend in free agency and got to hit it out the park with their late round draft picks.
Better go after Ben Johnson if he knows what I know

I’m glad you bought that up because I was hearing the same thing and I’m not a 49ers fan, but I listen to sports talk radio on XM all day and people was saying his play calling was a lil suspect.

So apparently everything is coming out now. Matt Canada did not take input from other offensive coaches. This is why the offensive line coach left and went to Oregon last year. This is absolutely ridiculous on Tomlin's part to let that go on that long!!! :angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:

Yeah I agree. Wilks would have been fired too. That entire roster sucks.

Maybe Deuce will get a chance to step in as interim and a shot at the job but who knows. Doubt it

Sucks because the OC and DC are both black.

The GM is the one who should go

You traded McCaffrey for a second, third and fourth.

Then traded DJ Moore to ensure that Young wouldn't have anything.

I knew that people would realize their issues eventually

One thing thats being overlooked is the fact ownership/GM meddled with what reich wanted. He was telling CJ stroud about the best places to golf and was looking forward to showing him around. All evidence was pointing to the fact he wanted to draft stroud and then (allegedly) ownership stepped in and wanted young.

Hell yea fam, the first half of the season was a hot mess on defense b/c of Steve Wilks
Nick Bosa & Fred Warner was in the locker room giving interviews like..... :dunno:
Even Shannahan directly called out Wilks during a press conference after one of the games
Shannahan was basically like "Yeah some shit needs to change on defense" :hmm:

I was about to say that the Panthers should draft another QB with their #1 draft pick this year
Just like the Arizona Cardinals did
Old coaching staff drafted Josh Rosen
And they found out real quick that he was not "the guy"
Then the new coaching staff (Kliff Kingsbury) drafted Kyler Murray, the very next year
Just redo the whole thing all over again
...
...
BUT..........then I just remembered Carolina does not have a first round draft pick this year !!!

Been said that, but the GM is probably there in NAME ONLY.

Yeah I still don’t think Young is the problem. CJ would struggle too. Houston always had talent on the offensive side and just needed a QB. Had a top tier left tackle in Tumsil which is half the battle.
Carolina hasn’t drafted well in several years at the skill position.

Houston already said if they had the #1 pick, they were going to draft Young.

They need your boy Ben Johnson lol

Young is too fucking small

Talented yes but with his slight frame, talent can only go so far.

I would hate to lose Ben, but this would be the perfect mulligan to his turning down the job last year.
