Most of his haters aren't real basketball fans and have 0 knowledge or appreciation of what they are seeing. Also the hate isn't bball related, it's anger for him surpassing heroes and changing our idea of what success is. I mean cmon, BGOL is still pretending I'm the only LeBron fan in 2024!!!!

I thought you were offering up an opinion based on his time in DC, like you heard something about people not liking him.

As far as his DC tenure so far, I've seen some clips of him blowing off teammates-- I wouldn't go so far as to call him an asshole based on that but I see where you were coming from. Just thought there might have been something I was missing.

I will say that aside from the time he provoked that assault, his teammates in Golden State always spoke highly of him and Curry and Thompson practiced with him this offseason and seem to genuinely like him.

I've seen enough-- Kendrick Perkins is too dumb to be on TV.

He is a hot take machine and I'm sure good for clicks the way he just throws out proclamations without thinking. But damn. First he compares Klay in GS to Garnett in Minnesota, claiming "we never thought we'd see Garnett in another team's jersey." That's not at all how I remember the perception of his unsuccessful time as a superstar in a cold weather small city. Totally different situations and points in their careers, ludicrous comparison. Then he argues Klay is struggling because he feels disrespected and "you can't blame him" because he hasn't been extended yet and Poole got his extension, Wiggins did and "when it was time to resign Draymond Green, we couldn't get three days into free agency and Draymond was penciled in. How do you think Klay Thompson is feeling right now?" You dumb motherfucker, they let Draymond get to free agency because they didn't extend him!!! Klay is exactly where Draymond was a year ago!

Ex-players are good analysts/commentators when they can speak from a player's perspective about the game and the life, not when they resort to bullshit psychoanalysis because they don't know how to explain what is happening and why any better than the average fan.

He should have been fired when he marveled on air at the idea that Jonathan Kuminga has grown 7 inches two months into the offseason. He is the biggest fool covering the NBA in a prominent position right now and possibly ever.
