Another headwind for Oakland home prices is the increased costs of insurance. This is especially so in the hills which is our most expensive areas. The few insurance companies that are still insuring homes in the high fire hazard severity areas(the hills) are charging much more for the premiums with more restrictions and higher deductibles.

Had a former coworker I worked part-time with in the early-2000s. Cool dude ... fucked the flyest chicks ... drove a motorcycle ... lived on a houseboat at the marina. Ended up crashing the motorcycle & getting a traumatic brain injury.

Mutual friend of mine told me the news in the late-2000s ... damn.
