Israel Declares War After Hamas Attacks. UPDATE: Israel Ends Ceasefire, Begins Bombing Gaza

It’s interesting how many of the progressive news analysis YouTube channels - like ALL of TYT’s channels, David Pakman, and BTC have gone radio silent on this ongoing story. This, especially when mainstream news is giving it significant coverage.

Out of the progressives, Democracy Now! is the only outlier I’ve seen so far.

What's BTC? Did you mean TBC - The Breakfast Club????

Can you elaborate? First of all, aren't half of the Jordanian people Palestinian in origin themselves? East Bankers? And what is the "terrible word for Palestinians in Egyptian Arabic"?

So Palestinians are basically the Black Americans of the Arab world!!

You and @TheFuser should talk, because he had a different experience in Palestine himself and has a thread about it.

Funny because Dave is Muslim. People might ask him what he thinks!
I knew many jewish and Palestinians growing up and I see them exactly like Black Americans politically. Isreal is an evil fuckin nation.

Haiti is a fucking shit hole, that scenario would only work in the reverse at this current juncture.

Didn't you post the Denon sperm doctor lady in the past?

You might want create a new account and reset your algorithm.
Don't know who you're talking about wrong person.

Ireland has always stood with Palestine, interestingly enough. Maybe because they relate because of what the British did to them. You can even buy Irish keffiyehs!

I don't watch Pakman, not sure what BTC is.

But Young Turks covered it-- Surprisingly more both sidesy than Breaking Points-- Ana was out and the fill-in has family ties to Israel and was pretty emotional about it.

Guest host went so far as to call Cori Bush and Rashida Tlaib "ridiculous" for calling Israel an apartheid state so pretty disappointing there.

Cenk said he wouldn't use the word "at this juncture" because it is rubbing salt in the wound  but did acknowledge it as the reality.

My bad… Yes Brian Tyler Cohen. Thanks @Gods_Debris

The Breakfast Club?

Took Young Turks 3 days to mention it.

But when I get a little more time, I’ll check out the vids.

Coonerific
This is a nation that passes law that trivializes running down protestors with vehicles.

How did you think this was going to go? Asking your oppressor for mercy is definitely one way to go.

Wes Moore is a military academy kid. He’s Stephen from Django but you haven’t caught on.

Just curious but why no mention of thousands of Africans fighting for Israel in their army. Is it because they are seen as coons?

I had thoughts on the Ethiopian/African IDF soldiers while I was over there.
- The Afro-Palestinians we ran into couldn't wait to stop us and talk to us. We got stopped in Jerusalem and chopped it up with these young sistas in the Olde City and they took us to The African Quarter to meet other Black folks. Happened again in Jericho with some older brothas and in Hebron with some young brothas. Even the ones we saw who didn't stop and speak at least gave us the universal Black head nod of acknowledgment. That was NOT the case with the Black IDF soldiers. I couldn't tell if they were just ashamed or if they wished we weren't there, but it's something the entire delegation noticed.

- Here's an article about the Black Lives Matter movement in Israel and how Black Israelis are treated as 2nd Class Citizens. Marc Lamont Hill interviewed a bunch of them too for his documentary called Black In The Holyland (not out yet, but the trailer is).

Another interesting run-in we had with an Ethiopian IDF soldier was at the checkpoint leaving Ramallah. This young goofy white soldier got on the bus and started speaking Hebrew to us. Fortunately, our guide was fluent in Arabic, Hebrew, and English but he didn't know that as she wanted to keep the language barrier up so he'd let us proceed quicker. He looked at this Black delegation, got off the bus, and brought an Ethiopian on board. Ethiopian bul told him he didn't speak English. White soldier said, "well just speak black to them then." They had a full-on argument on our bus with the Ethiopian trying to explain how there's no universal Black language and the white guy not believing him. At the time we had no idea what it was about so we were sitting there confused as fuck, but our guide told us after they finally sent us on our way out of frustration.

One of the worst things to experience, in Arab eyes, is to be cheated, fooled, or taken advantage of. When someone attempts to cheat an Arab—and even more so, if that person succeeds—the Arab is overcome by furious anger, even if the person who did the cheating was his own cousin. He will call on his brother to take revenge on that cousin, in line with the Arab adage: “My brother and I against my cousin—and my brother, my cousin, and I against a stranger.”

Man if you ever played ball with these cats, it’s a straight wallahi session. Man will argue to death about a foul or being robbed like bruh, relax!

For all this talk from Zionists about them being the rightful owners of the land, Palestine wasn't even their first choice in having a Jewish state. They voted to resettle in Africa first, Uganda.

Zionists are correct about it being their land. The issue is that modern day Palestinians are right about it as well. Both sets of DNA are found deeply entrenched in that soil dating back centuries. Obviously Jews were there first, but Palestinians can rightfully lay claim to it also.

This is why the British need to be held accountable for the Balfour Declaration because though it claimed non-Jewish communities would not be displaced, they allowed this occupation to continue ever since.

They were dead set on Africa until the 7th Zionist Congress said the land wasn't good enough for a Jewish settlement. That's always stuck out in my mind. If it was all about the Holy Land, wouldn't they have gone for that land off rip?

The sins of the British Empire continue to be felt years after it ended.

It brings me back to a Youtuber who was trying to argue that colonialism was a good thing.
