Official 2025 NFL Off Season Discussion!!!

This is a scary stat that I need upper management to really address regardless of whether DJ remains as the QB or we draft a replacement in the upcoming draft

But he has also scored more points per game than Pat Mahomes. It's a mixed bag.
That wasn't mentioned but definitely agreed on it being a mixed bag. I do agree with the sentiment Shannon Sharpe had in that Jerry Jones doesn't like to admit when he's wrong cuz that quote from Jones reeks of trying to sell fans on believing Dak is something more than he really is

Stephen A put up a stat during First Take today that since Prescott got his money, he has not had any Pro Bowl selections, only 2 playoff wins and an almost 1:1 interception to games played ratio.

Throughout history, most players do not improve after Year 8. You can win a SB with an average to below average qb if surrounded by great coaches and a top 2 defense (they have neither).

He does not have the talent or upside to elevate a slightly above average team, and take them to the next level.

If you have the America's Team label, can't settle for a mediocre franchise qb.

If it was Browns, Detroit, or Panthers, expectations would not be as high for him to win. They are satisfied with a winning season and 1 playoff win.

I think a big part of it is that the Cowboys went over a decade from Troy Aikman to Romo. And they don't want to spend another decade looking for another decent QB.

Folks think it's easy to find a good QB, but of the hundreds of QBs drafted over the last 10 years, there are only really 15 good ones in the entire league.

There are only three of those that exist.

It's Jones fault tho
I've watched 3 games of theirs unfortunately
He holds the ball too long you just can't do that in today's NFL
If he got rid of it he wouldn't get sacked part of that might be nobody open but he needs to make decisions quicker
Dl run 4.3 40s now
You gotta shit or get off the pot and he doesn't he'd be way more effective if he went through 2 reads then scrambled. If the 2 aren't there get 5 yards and slide on pass plays offense would be way better

Viking Nation gone be Kirk and random white boys soon
They gave his money to Lion reject Hockenson. Team is pure ass and the one score magic is gone.

I don't understand pissing off Jefferson and cutting Cook to build with Cousins and Hockenson.

Cousins has never been a 40 TD QB and Hockenson has never had 10 TD catches in a season.
The locker room aint gonna like that Hockenson just swooped in midway in last season and got a contract.

Shit isn't going to be right until Cousins and Hockenson are gone along with management.

The Lions are happy as fuck they gave them an additional 2nd pick so that they could draft LaPorta and Branch. Two future Pro Bowlers for a TE who didn't make the top 100 playees.

Packers season is almost done too....

@darth frosty ...... But I know who aint got them problems.

Kings of the North!!

Idk why the fans bail on him like they do

America's Team, just like the Lakers, and Yankees the fans and media have different standards for their athletes.

If Dak played for the Falcons or Saints, or Chargers, nobody would be criticizing him.

The Giants, Cowboys, Patriots, 49ers, and Broncos are the only teams to win at least 3 SBs on the last 35 years. Fans of other teams are not as critical, they are more conditioned to failing to win the big game.

Tua and the Dolphins are a top team, but Tua is not really under any pressure if Miami fails, AGAIN. Most Dolphin fans been seeing that since 70's.

It's not all his fault cuz it didn't look much different when Tyrod Taylor was put out there. Some plays he's taking big hits or having to run for his life almost immediately after the ball is snapped. The O-line inconsistency is playing a big role in how bad things have been along with the flaws that DJ has to fix.

I'd include the Knicks in that standard for athletes as well. The NY media bumped them up to that level of standard despite them not having any championships since the 70s. Doesn't stop many of the fans from getting delusional the moment they sniff the playoffs though.

Eagles fans are still the jealous, attention seeking, little brother of the NFC East teams. They have 1 SB win, but deep inside really think they are NFL royalty.

Interesting
So maybe design?

I hear you but it's the position
It commands the money
Not disputing that. That's why when everyone was in an uproar bout DJ getting $40M, I wasn't too hard pressed. That's just bout the going rate for average QBs now. When Dak got his money he got paid what the top QBs were getting and that's on Jerry for giving him that much money despite Dak never proving to be in the same class as the top QBs. He was a tier below them at best

Facts. That 1 SB gives them a pass on being overly annoying with their arrogance for now. They're 2nd to me as most annoying fan base behind the Cowboys cuz a lot of them Cowboys fans carry even more arrogance than the Eagles fans despite not seeing a SB in almost 30yrs. Them & Knicks fans are the worst for that every season and this is coming from a former Knicks fan.
