Deion Sanders offered the Colorado job- Official Colorado season thread

The Oregon game may get Ugly for the Buffs. They don't match up at all and will have to play scheme a good game to keep it close

I'm excited about these upcoming games. While there are concerns in the rushing offense and the defense, the Buffs are still figuring out their personnel and I expect consistent improvement going forward. Opposing teams don't have much film on Mccaskill, Smoke, Antonio, Dawson, Omarion Millier, Hopkins, or Gaines on the offensive side of the ball. The Buffs might come out with a whole new look next game with a new RB, a big-body WR, and/or some speedy WRs that they did not prepare for. These are strong possibilities. Micheal Harrison, Ziliskas, Matta, and Dawson were key breakout players Saturday night.
Opposing teams don't have much film on Jay, Stoutmire, McClain, Smalls, Kennedy, Gant, McCoy,Jeremiah Brown, or Jahquez Robinson. The Buffs might come out with speed on the edge, new-look LBs, a shutdown corner, and a secondary that they did not prepare for. Juwan Mitchell, Silmon -Craig, and Payne Jr were key breakout players on Saturday.
The Buffs have alot of confidence a solid QB, talent, and unpredictability going for them going forward. It wouldn't surprise me at all if next game they come out with Mccaskill and Smoke are pounding the rock, Antonio and Omarion Miller presenting size matchups problems at WR, with Dawson and Gaines presenting speed matchup problems WR. It wouldn't surprise me at all if their pass rush gets considerably better with Kennedy, Smalls, and/or Mcoy. it wouldn't surprise me at all if the run defense gets considerably better with Gant, Jay, and/or Brown. It wouldn't surprise me at all if McClain comes out shutting down Oregon or USC's #2 receiver. The Buffs have alot of talent that hasn't made it to the field yet and waiting for the opportunity. Micheal Harrison looked unstoppable on Saturday and I forgot he was on the team.

It is looking like they have no shot against Oregon

Would you shut the fuck up with your trolling already . You’ve made 10 posts in a row saying the same shit. You crave attention that bad?

Once he started getting attention by trolling Colorado, he started focusing on it. The best solution is to ignore him IMO.

I coached and I am just talking football X's and O's. Man It is going to be tough Saturday for several reason. If I am wrong i welcome the debate. But, let's talk numbers because they paint a picture that should have us nervous for Saturday.

Through 3 games the Buffs have not shown much or gave us any confidence that they will improve overnight. Here are their stats through 3 games.
  • Total defense = 122nd ranked
  • Run defense = 119th ranked
  • Passing yards allowed = 107th ranked
  • Third down defense = 117th ranked
  • First down defense = 101st ranked
  • Red zone = 12th ranked
  • Tackle for loses = 92nd ranked
  • Defensive Pass Efficiency = 74th ranked
  • Team Sacks = 91nd ranked
What stands out here is their struggle on first downs, which directly impacts their third down defense. The Buffaloes often find themselves defending third and short situations, making it incredibly tough to get off the field. They also don't create many negative plays that would force a team in 2nd/3rd and long.

Fam they rank 91st in tackle for losses and 92nd in sacks. Which indicates their inability to apply pressure and create negative plays. Both their run defense and pass defense are struggling, and it won't get any easier with Oregon coming in with the 4th ranked offense and the 5th ranked passing attack in the nation.

Now the Buffs' offense has shown promise, they can move the ball well at times. Colorado has the 23rd ranked offense. I think they are a bit better than the 23rd ranking on offense but their run game at 127th, is what keeps the offense out of the top 5.

The big question mark heading into Saturday's game remains: Can they step up and make enough defensive stops when it counts?

I just can't get over how big these new helmets are. I know they the safest thing you can get, but the sheer size of them shits just fuck with me.
