The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon





So far I'm enjoying Dixons overseas adventures. The show is already ultra involving. The music, crazy and cut throat characters are on point. His responses to when things go left are hilarious. I always liked the one person against the world theme. I know his journey is going to be a bloody an interesting one.

I thought it was a great trip down memory lane with some good casting, character development especially for fans of The Clone Wars series. I was hoping the conversation between two characters would have been longer. Definitely not as epic as I thought it was going to be or hyped up to be.



Next of Kin






A mix of a slow burn and involving story but I was definitely pulled in by the way the story slowly but surely became a mystery involving terrorism and big business with a family with secrets caught in the middle. The incompetence of some of the characters became laughable. Wasn't expecting the ending which was a sobering but honest reflection of the world we live in.



The Other Black Girl




This is one of the shows in which im not fully engaged maybe they're trying to blend to many genres ,but it's the cast that are making their roles believeable and some parts of the story have set up questions that i want answers to plus each episode is only about 30 minutes.So im going to stick with it.
 
Enjoyed episode 8 of Reservation Dogs. Only 2 episodes left to go with the series. More of the main cast was involved in the most recent episode.


1 episode remaining in season 2 of Winning Time. Been enjoying it too. Interesting to see how they're lining up the timeline(s) for LA & Boston.


3 episodes remaining in season 3 of Only Murders in the Building. The guest star cast additions have been used effectively this year. They have been paired well in their respective scenes with the lead cast.

Doctor Sleep (2019)​

Director Mike Flanagan seemingly did the impossible in 2019, as he not only created a worthy sequel to one of the greatest horror films of all time, but somehow managed to balance both the cinematic world Stanley Kubrick created with the literary mythology Stephen King wrote. King even praised the film, which is often high praise indeed, as he is not afraid to speak out against adaptations he feels weren’t worthy of his novels.

Part of the success of the underrated Doctor Sleep was its ensemble cast. From seasoned veterans such as Ewan McGregor, Carl Lumbly, and Bruce Greenwood to young phenoms such as Kyliegh Curran and Jacob Tremblay, there is not a weak link in the chain. That includes McClarnon’s Henry “Crow Daddy” Rothman, who often owns the screen when he appears.

That was no easy task, as The Crow was the right-hand-man of Rose the Hat (Rebecca Ferguson) who often stole the show herself. Within the story, The Crow is The Hat’s number two, and it was easy to see why she would have chosen him for such a position mainly because of McClarnon’s performance. The actor was able to imbue Crow Daddy with the terrifying resolve and intelligence the character possessed in the novel. Within King’s mythology, Rothman graduated Harvard Law School in 1938, and if you consider the resolution it must have taken a man of First Nations lineage to fight the prejudice of that time and thrive, the fact he is now an immortal succubus becomes secondary in comparison.

He was great in season 2 of Fargo as "Hanzee Dent". Him and Bokeem Woodbine as "Mike Milligan" were 2 of the stars of the show ... loved that season.

Highly slept on movie, saw it in theater
 
Almost finished season 2 of This Fool. Just have 2 eps left to watch.


Fave episodes this season were the premiere with the neighborhood rooster, the mom's new life upon retirement, and the episode with the lead's hesitation to date a single mom. All quite funny in their own right.


Also, Ivana Rojas is super fine. Nice to see her added as "Ruby" in season 2 ... first time seeing her work.
