If you don't play a worldwide tournament how are you a world champion?
So I win a tournament in a NATIONAL league everyone considers the best so by way of that I am champion of the WORLD? Is that the argument we are going with? So why not make the NBA champion whoever wins what everyone considers the best division. Or make the state champion in football whoever wins the best division tournament.

What I meant was if we're taking it like Noah wants to take it. That means that the nuggets are the champion of the US &Canada So I said what euro or any other professional league team would beat them. Not some All Star team that comprises of every great player in that league. And as far as united states versus the world, we have that in the olympics & world championships.

60-75% of the NBA PLAYERS could be replaced by international players and the league would still be the same. 25% of players are the top of top. Look at the roster of some of those non playoff teams, stocked with players too young and not good, yet, and journeymen. Top 4-5 are good. Look at Denver. Top 6 were good, everyone else replaceable. I think it makes a lot more sense to look at the teams that play on a global stage internationally than these little artificial subgroups that change every year.

Your second point is not historically true. Arvydas Sabonis was a top center in the world playing overseas, while the NBA still proclaimed its title winner world champion. Hell, are you claiming Victor Wembanyama wasn't good enough to make an NBA roster while teams were tanking to acquire him this year?
