Hijack finale

Very intense and edge of your seat finish to this 6 episode series. Even though some moments were nonsensical and it borrowed a story thread from the 2006 version of Casino Royale.



The Crowded Room finale

The main thing this series got right was displaying the complexities of the mind and how trauma can produce multiple personalities as a protection and to shelve things one may not want to deal with outwardly




Truth Be Told

I wasn't shocked to hear the show was canceled . It was a slow burn and then some and definitely wasnt for everybody but various story threads actually lead to some compelling and interesting subject matter

Star Trek Strange New Worlds Season 2 Episode 9 Subspace Rhapsody


Every 5 to 8 years i get " dragged" to a musical and sure i grew up on them from The Sound of Music to West Side Story but i really dont care for them at all so when i heard about this episode i definitely wasnt excited about it but im such a huge fan of the show i had to watch it. At least it just didnt randomly happen because the set up was good and most of the cast have good voices but it was grating at times lol. They do sprinkle in some good Star Trek moments.
It would have been cool if Pike had sang Human by Rag'n'Bone Man

I didnt watch this show when it originally aired. Only in reruns. I recently came across the show while browsing through Tubi. And gave it a re-watch. So for the past month. I've been enjoying watching this show as an adult.

And I actually think that this show still holds up. I would recommend this old-school black family sitcom.

Unknown: Killer Robots

This is part of the “Unknown” series on Netflix, it’s why I posted it here. There are 3 other unrelated episodes along with this episode.

This episode mainly deals with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its military applications around ethical and moral uses. The main question it brings up is around autonomy.

It’s informative, but while watching it you will wonder what the Government actually has that is not being revealed. What they show is pretty impressive. They show what they are working on similar to that robot drone from “Black Mirror”.

The episode also deals with the medical aspect with biological warfare. If you are a Covid Pandemic conspiracist, that part will raise your eyebrow.

The episode takes place with events in Afghanistan up to 2021. The episode runs about 1 hour.

What I found interesting is the level of excitement these technicians have for developing this tech. It’s pretty obvious they are motivated mainly to get those big Government contracts from the Dept. of Defense. And could care less on the negative aspects of this technology.

Synopsis

A look at artificial intelligence in military applications, following military-funded scientists racing to build this technology and ethicists scrambling to awaken the world to its apocalyptic potential.

The first 5 to 7 minutes of the episode made me say damn what is happening?!?
I love when a show throws so much at you that has to be resolved.
I love the characters and the connections they have. So glad this was renewed. Just found out this is produced by George RR Martin and Robert Redford.

The Chi

Season 6 episode 1

Basically a there and back again episode when it comes to the characters.
Some backtracking on things they put their feet down about in season 5.
Some predictable moments. Emmetts initiation into Doudas circle is complete.
Kevin was likely looking at Maisha's cleavage all night ...and we all know what happens with an ex...especially when you are the last two sitting
around after a party.
But I think the glares from Doudas henchmen are overdone or its just bad directing. Look more menacing...no more ...more...!!

We are all so much more aware and sensitive about micro aggressions context phrasing gaslighting etc

That we catch everything

but we also need to accept the possibility that a person may not have intended that.

I still watch this.
I get to see the city, as I no longer there.
I actually enjoy the show mostly.
