So The Elite are staying put in AEW. It makes sense as they wouldn't get the creative control that they're looking for anywhere else.
Cats are going to say I'm just bashing The Elite but honestly, I'm not surprised that The Elite are staying in AEW. Neither the Bucks, Omega or Page have evolved over the last few years. They are basically the same characters and wrestlers since AEW began and going over to WWE would have forced them to actually change.
Neither of these guys are that great on the mic and just rely on the lot in ring work, and in WWE, that will only get you so far.
Had they signed with WWE, they would have been exposed.

They were never going to WWE and I agree they wouldn't fare well in WWE's system.
All that Indy-rific stuff they like to do in every match would have to go and they would get destroyed on the mic.
I think they purposely put the rumor out there (about WWE being interested) for leverage to resign for more money with the money mark himself, TK.
WWE's system is too watered down. The Elite could make it work if they wanted to but what is really there for them. Let's take the Young Bucks. You build and eventually have the money match with the Usos THEN WHAT? Tag team wrestling isn't prioritized in WWE like it is in AEW and New Japan. Omega comes in and has a money match with Rollins or Reigns THEN WHAT? I could easily see Omega and the Bucks getting bored real quick and say to themselves was it worth it. AEW gives them variety to do different things. In WWE you're stuck in they're box.
Who over there is destroying Omega on the mic? Omega is actually very good on the stick. The Bucks are a different story but that's never been they're strong suit.
TK was gonna resign them regardless. You would have to be a complete idiot not to resign The Elite.

No excuse just facts. After the money matches are done in WWE what is there left for Omega to do? His character literally is "The Best Bout Machine", not doing soap opera "Days of your lives" WWE storylines. He would be bored out his mind.
You’re right, those guys you mentioned are the same, however: Jungle Boy. Britt Baker. Luchasaurus. Miro..... Not saying their changes worked, but at least they evolved somewhat.

Forbidden Door was successful because it was a PPV in Toronto. All In is getting record numbers because it's in London.

More power to him, but don't make it sound like he's not going to WWE because he would be bored, he doesn't want to go because he would be challenged to evolve his style and work, and that's not something he wants to do. No, to wrestling fans who actually watch wrestling matches and pay attention to what's going on outside of the WWE bubble. Omega and Ospreay have delivered two of the best matches this year. God tier level shit! I don't need Meltzer to tell me that. I've seen it with my OWN eyes. No match WWE has produced this year even comes close.
Perhaps not but let's not act like AEW hasn't had successful shows in the states because they have. The whole reason why AEW exists in the first place is because Cody, the Bucks, and Omega proved they could do a 10,000 gate when Meltzer said they couldn't.
He doesn't want to "evolve his style and work" IN THAT WAY because he doesn't want to be watered down. In WWE what exactly is he "evolving" to? Days of our lives Soap Oprea? Because if it's not to be the best wrestler in the world (which he already is) what's the point? Who wants to turn on Smackdown and see Omega reduced to soap opera drama with LA Knight or the Miz? Boring! Again, no excuses I'm just putting myself in his shoes. I wouldn't want to do that shit. Could he do it? Sure, but it's so beneath him.
