It is estimated that tens of billions of dollars' worth of merchandise is lost to shoplifters each year. And as shoplifters (working individually or as part of organized retail crime gangs) become more brazen, store owners are looking for new ways to stop them. Correspondent Rita Braver visits the Loss Prevention Research Council, which is testing new ways for retailers to protect their goods from being pilfered.

As I said in another post, I was so close to swinging on a dude I saw doing this in Harbor Freight on Boston Rd.

Dude had some huge boxes just walking by me at checkout.

I was so pissed that I thought about it for a hot second.

Glad I didn’t do anything…..neither did any of the store personnel.

Now they have security….which I’m sure I’ll pay for at next visit.

Global warming is the least of our issues. This planet in its present state ain’t worth saving.

That’s all……

Carry on…….

The stealers don't care anymore, take a picture, get their plates, call the police and they'll wrestle with security.

What it's going to come to is you order online and we'll deliver it to your front door,we don't need a store,no security cams and you the consumer can worry about the theives, good luck.

Had a college classmate who worked in the field of loss prevention.

Said when you've had weapons pulled on you a number of times over bullshit items, you really question why you're even doing the job.
