THAT'S who we were thinking about
It's called the "Mandela Effect", google it
It's based on the commonality of bad memory among a great many people influenced more by propaganda and hear say than fact. Shared wide spread mental indolence efficaciously in tune with gossip and innuendo. Or as I have read on those these streets, "mental midgetry". Y'all be careful giving credence to so many terms being used these days.
So I should have said "y'all some mental midgets!"...

Bruh all that because we misremembered it was her son who died?...y'all hard on a pre-elderly nigga.Yep.
I learned about Nelson Mandela, and apartheid in South Africa when I was about 15. To say I was angry and pissed off about it all is to put it lightly. I stopped wearing Reeboks and refused everything with a British flag. I was and am one of those Jamaicans that despise WASP's and all colonizers. To this day I think the Albion's and Spaniards, need to pay for crimes against my countrymen. So when I learned about Nelson Mandela, and his 22 years in prison I was enraged.Bruh all that because we misremembered it was her son who died?...y'all hard on a pre-elderly nigga.
The term is absolutely a colonizer invention.I learned about Nelson Mandela, and apartheid in South Africa when I was about 15. To say I was angry and pissed off about it all is to put it lightly. Fast forward a few years to January of 1990 and I'm a member of Black political organization called Harlem Fight Back. Less than a month after that I see Nelson Mandela, is set free. It was a Sunday and all we could talk about the next day was Nelson Mandela, being released and how many other brothers are still political prisoners here in the US. I was 18 years old and that memory is unforgettable for me.
So when I see Nelson Mandela's name used to distinguish bad memory and or political ineptness and indifference. I access the activity as an indictment of weak mindedness. For people to think Nelson Mandela, died in jail shows me they are poorly informed or never gave a fuck about apartheid in South Africa or cared about Black people. Here in the US we have Black political prisoners who died in jail after decades. Some who are still imprisoned and a few who have been released after decades in prison. With that being said. To me the term Mandela affect is no less insulting than nigga rigging or nigga rich.
The term is absolutely a colonizer invention.
YupThat SNL performance was stuck in my memory for a long time...
