Why is it that I can watch a full NCAA womens basketball game but can only watch 5 to 10 minutes of a WNBA game before boredom sets in ?
To me it's all about visual perception,
Simply put it's the multi colored basketball that makes their game look like an exhibition game and gimmicky like the Harlem Globetrotters.
Change the multicolored ball back to full orange like the NBA and NCAA basketball and maybe people will take their game more seriously and get into it.

Maybe the novelty of if wore off for many. I think they should market the more feminine girls more. I know it's a fine balance when some of your better players may be manly looking.

But Aja Wilson is a good example of a decent looking chick that can ball. And Te'a Cooper fine ass should be on somebody squad. But she doing the whole influencer thing now. Chicks like Diana Taurasi should be left in the shadows when ever possible. And girls like Skylar Diggins should be pushed. Those Cavender Twins from Miami should be on someone squad too. I'm talking looks and not pure ball skills.

Many of those cute chicks opting for other opportunities though. Basketball is just a way to build up a following and cash in. I doubt Angel Resse plays more than 5 year in the WNBA.. if that.

I think you have to be a basketball “purist” to enjoy the women’s game. It’s really fundamentally sound basketball. But there’s no real “flare”.

I like see dunks as well, yes you're correct about it being fundamentally sound but that shit does get boring when every team does the same thing especially watching it for long periods of time.

I mean angel reese and those college girls are more exciting than the WNBA and they had the top viewers on that championship game.

I've said this many times before, for some reason the women's college game is more entertaining than the WNBA. I remember watching those Tennessee, Uconn, Maryland, Baylor etc... women's college teams running so when the WNBA first started I watched thinking all the teams would be like that but they weren't and even today if I try to watch a game there are still teams that look like bad college teams, so many missed layups and women just throwing the ball at the rim

I think atmosphere and tradition plays a big part. Those college games usually have lively crowds and personalities you care about. Watching WNBA game now is about like watching a golf match or regular season baseball game to me.

Yeah players/teams like Swoopes, Cooper/Houston, Sparks were exciting to watch but alot of other teams weren't. It seems the WNBA doesn't do any marketing nowadays, they don't even have their games on ESPN/ABC/NBA NETWORK, I've seen their commercials for channels like ION, CBSSN and LIFETIME..LOL. Te'a Cooper wasn't a great player but she was good and a fan favorite and the Sparks cut her and no other team has picked her up
