Tracy Chapman’s ‘Fast Car’ demonstrates how an artist can cake off one hot song

Man I always felt the same way. Hate that song. Very shocked it was a hit.
It was catchy and had an appeal to a certain demographic. Told a story that bitches from say Iowa or Nebraska could relate to. One song I could never understand was "Don't worry, be happy". Most basic shit ever. And had a sell out brother singing it to boot. So bad, P.E. dissed it in one of the greatest anthems...ever

I decided to listen to it yesterday….after all these years I finally hear why it was a hit lol. And it’s perfect for a country remake. I see it now lol..

Better late than never. Its not that bad. Dem folks been copying and blatantly stealing our shit for centuries. Time for some recompense.
Yeah im glad she getting 100% of it. I'm shocked they willing to even sample that record at that rate lol.

I always wondered how much Chill Rob G made off this? I will never forgive that faggot Snap for the out of control blatant dickbiting.

Yup they cleared it.

You already know this ain't my preferred source but...

He told this story many times before

And honestly I understand

But its a two way street these original artists need to remember that by these rappers etc sampling remaking their songs they create a revenue stream and potential licensing and advertising opportunities that may have never existed before.

What Prince song did they sample and what was the name of the song they used it on?
