Florida tourism update 7/16/2023 is not looking good at all.

are you seeing a degradation in the economy?
Not really, but these things take time. I'm in west palm beach and things seem basically business as usual(outside of more and more people moving down and things getting way more expensive but that's been happening since the pandemic) the big thing I've noticed is the weather, there's something different about the weather this year, I been telling people around here but they're looking at me like I'm chicken little. Been here on and off for the better part of 20 years but there's just something about the weather lately that's odd, like the floodgates of heaven will suddenly open when we're not even supposed to be getting rain and the heat. I think that's where Florida will really feel the biggest impact, we haven't really had a bad season since I first got down here which was a record year. I want to see how these new citizens react when the shit goes down.

Man there’s no way that many people pay attention to what the fuck the governor is saying/doing

Maybe so, I don’t know but I know I’d be one of them clueless fuckers
Well when Hotels can't handle the volume of 50/60% capacity and conventions, expos...etc are getting canceled, flight prices not going down.....

There's a storm brewing and this is just the beginning, if they don't see tourism return to normal numbers by September, that state will be out of a lot of tax $$$ and his campaign outlook will be dire.....he's still far behind Drumpf and Drumpf is at about 50% of what Biden has raised....

Yea I gets that technical shit

I’m just saying like folks from the North whom normally go vacation there during these months. Folks from Texas ain’t going because he told the illegals to leave.
Midwestern paying attention to his fight with the Mouse….

If all of that is true, I’m start giving the American people more credit than I have

It’s real simple the racist white people and some Hispanics in Florida got a huge wake up call. Oh, and hurricane season in a few weeks may go super Saiyan.

My mom and my sister are in Miami and they are seeing the crap that is happening now. Thank God I live in Atlanta.
Grew up in Miami, Liberty City to be exact. Moved to Ft Lauderdale in '99. When I tell you the city is totally changed. 62nd in particular. Pushing black folk out and Hispanics are moving. Within a year, I'm leaving Florida altogether. All these changes the governor is making, taking books outta schools, moms for liberty, etc., no longer beneficial for the black population

Georgia is no better than Florida. Once you travel out of Atlanta it’s pretty much same as Florida once you travel outside of Miami Tampa Bay Orlando Jacksonville

Only difference I’ve noticed as far as tourism is theme park lines are great we went to Universal Studios and Busch Gardens the last 2 weekends fast lines..the beaches and festivals are still packed though

Also tourism might be taking a hit but people are still moving here at record levels

I’m not going to strongly argue with you about that because I told people if it wasn’t for metro Atlanta…….Georgia would be a bigger hell hole. Demographically and Politically, Georgia is turning into Illinois. To break that down even further, if you was to scoop out Chicagoland area Illinois would be freaking Indiana.

That's a negative Ghost rider. Disney (specifically Magic Kingdom) has operated close to capacity for the past couple of weeks. :dunno:
No, he has a Point……… every park is suffering in Florida right now because of DeSantis.

The thing that’s going to kill Florida is this cost of living increase shits going up but wages aren’t and these Republicans they elected aren’t trying to help…my sisters rent went from 1100 to $1800 in 2 years. My house was 700k 2019 most in the Neighborhood go for 1.5- 1.8 million now. 300k could get you 3000+ sqft 5 bedrooms with a pool 3 years ago you’re looking at 650-800k now most people have been priced out. Kinda over the weather beaches and whores now thinking about making a move to Charlotte or back to DC metro
