And there it is! Heel turn! Now ditch the Jungle Boy gear and rebrand his gimmick. Time to put Anna Jay with him as well.

I kinda knew that jungle boy was going to turn heel..On last week Rampage, he was getting booed!!..he was like WTF!!...I think that had set it up for him to turn heel...

He is a "face". He got cheered in his hometown. He got booed in Canda largely because Omega is Canadian. Going forward is the telling point of how to handle his character. If he continues to get a booed then he's clearly gonna go full heel. Even with a split crowd Punk would likely just go heel.

i agree with you on this!!..I think for here on out hes going to get booed at every place hes at!!..Fans are getting tired of Punk and his BS!!...Fuck him!!..I hope they keep booing his ass!!

I still wouldn't use the term "niche". AEW regularly pulls in good to great ppv gates. Is it as big as WWE? Of course not but it's big enough to surpass the term "niche". Niche to me is a promotion like GCW where you're doing hardcore/garbage wrestling in a hotel ballroom or bingo hall. That's niche.

I agree, they are beyond niche. AEW doesn't have household name recognition yet, but they are beyond niche at this point.

Yeah, I don't know what my man is talking about niche crowd!!..That place was fully packed and hype for that PPV show!!..

I'm talking specifically about the people tuning in for 'Forbidden Door', the ones that know all the Japanese wrestlers.
Not AEW's audience overall.
Compared to WWE's audience, yes, it is a niche product. I still stand by that. Having a hyped crowd for one night doesn't change that.

Just curious, how is Aubrey the worse?
I actually kind of like Aubrey and don't understand why she gets so much hate.
There are much worse refs in AEW, especially the bald guy that referees all the Young Bucks matches who never enforces any kind of rules just so everyone can do their choreographed spots.

Nah bruh. You and everyone knows I'm not an AEW Stan. Didn't watch last night's show, but I hear it went over very well on Twitter and elsewhere.

The amount of tickets they sold in the UK for their Wembley show. Having a good outing in Toronto, Japanese talent or not, shows AEW is a legit number two.

Impact would be niche. AEW has three shows on Cable TV networks that most people recognize. I always forget what station impact is even on.

Brother EPDC, I know you not a AEW fan but you see the facts on the numbers and the outcome of the PPV!!..Props to you brother!!..

Just curious, how is Aubrey the worse?

I think Paul Turner is worse, white guy with the dark hair. He's been caught looking at spots he wasn't supposed to see and he sometimes poorly telegraphs his pin counts so sometimes his 2.5's and 2.9's really look like 3s. Him and Rick Knox are way worse than Aubrey IMO.

I think @XXXplosive crowd for the PPV not AEW in general.

Everything positive you stated is all outside the United States & they're a US based company  They can pull 60k (allegedly) in London, but barely getting 4k in America. Everybody inside the industry predicted at least 45k for that show cause that's just how the market is there. It's still very niche cause they continue to cater to nerds. Number 2, but that don't really matter. They've hit their tv max, although Collision has been very good these last two weeks...just don't know how long they can keep a decent number. The ticket sales are down, viewership for Rampage is horrid, Dynamite continues to stay 8-900 it's peaked. If they go more casual friendly they can move beyond that niche label. Tony needs to use the help he has & quit letting certain guys book themselves. He's spread thin creatively & booking this shit like his computer game when he was a teen isn't helping the cause.

If you're pulling off million dollar gates REGARDLESS if you're based in the United States or not you have surpassed the term niche.

No, they cater to wrestling fans. A casual isn't really a wrestling fan.

The TV rating metric used today is a outdated model. There's more people who have cut the cord and watch through streaming than watching through traditional cable TV. Those viewers aren't accounted for. That's why I don't get wrapped up in the ratings nonsense because they're not accurate. The executives at Warner Bros/Discovery already know this which is part of the reason why AEW got a third show.

The ticket sales are down,

Only in over saturated or small markets. They had a very successful tour in Texas and their west coast tour was also successful. Their ppv ticket sales also continue to do well.

viewership for Rampage is horrid,

Friday nights in a bad time slot consistently up against basketball and other sports. You don't think Warner Bros/Discovery already know this? They don't care.

Dynamite continues to stay 8-900 it's peaked.

It doesn't matter.

If they go more casual friendly they can move beyond that niche label.

You do that and you lose your identity as a promotion. That's like me saying to the creators of "Game of Thrones"

Mastermind2002: Hey bruh you got too many Dragons and sex in this show. You need to make this shit more casual friendly.

Game Of Thrones showrunner: (Confused look on his face) But that's apart of what this show about.

Mastermind2002: Naw man you need to be more like survivor. Casual friendly man. You want more people to watch your show right?

Game Of Thrones showrunner: Then it would no longer be Game Of Thrones.

Tony needs to use the help he has & quit letting certain guys book themselves. He's spread thin creatively & booking this shit like his computer game when he was a teen isn't helping the cause.

I do agree with you here. He definitely needs help booking the shows.
