And to me there’s a difference. Roman boos a few years ago wasn’t it. And Wwe knew it which is why they piped crowd noise in.
He is a "face". He got cheered in his hometown. He got booed in Canda largely because Omega is Canadian. Going forward is the telling point of how to handle his character. If he continues to get a booed then he's clearly gonna go full heel. Even with a split crowd Punk would likely just go heel.
Danielson came out with a broken arm and Omega damn near became a quadriplegic with that finisher.
That's why WWE doesn't put on matches like that.
Hopefully it was worth it catering to a small niche crowd.

As a standalone one-off wrestling show, it's a great crowd and gate.
I still wouldn't use the term "niche". AEW regularly pulls in good to great ppv gates. Is it as big as WWE? Of course not but it's big enough to surpass the term "niche". Niche to me is a promotion like GCW where you're doing hardcore/garbage wrestling in a hotel ballroom or bingo hall. That's niche.
Fellas, I just went back and watched Forbidden Door this morning!!..WOW, This was another damn good Forbidden Door!! 
...All the matches were good and action packed.. I like how the crowd was hype and into the show!!....Damn that Omega vs Osprey match had live up to the hype!!....That match was fucking insane!!..They might have to run that match again!!..Also, that Danielson vs Okada match was damn good as well...Danielson matches never disappoint!!..i hope we can get another match with them as well..
Overall, This was a great Forbidden Door!!...This is one of the AEW PPV's we are going to be looking forward watching for years to come!!...Good job TK!!..

If he can stay healthy and not old man botch his matches the match they're building up to with him and MJF should be a pretty good match. MJF needs to win it though.

I agree, they are beyond niche. AEW doesn't have household name recognition yet, but they are beyond niche at this point.
I'm talking specifically about the people tuning in for 'Forbidden Door', the ones that know all the Japanese wrestlers.
Not AEW's audience overall.
Compared to WWE's audience, yes, it is a niche product. I still stand by that. Having a hyped crowd for one night doesn't change that.
I actually kind of like Aubrey and don't understand why she gets so much hate.
There are much worse refs in AEW, especially the bald guy that referees all the Young Bucks matches who never enforces any kind of rules just so everyone can do their choreographed spots.
Nah bruh. You and everyone knows I'm not an AEW Stan. Didn't watch last night's show, but I hear it went over very well on Twitter and elsewhere.
The amount of tickets they sold in the UK for their Wembley show. Having a good outing in Toronto, Japanese talent or not, shows AEW is a legit number two.
Impact would be niche. AEW has three shows on Cable TV networks that most people recognize. I always forget what station impact is even on.
