So they kept Ayton or Trade his bumass for roster depth...

160 mill to us average folk is a lot, but to those billionaire cacs that ain't shit. And the media feeds us the bullshit wording to say " hey look how much these guys are banking just to throw a ball through an orange cylinder" Meanwhile their salaries are a small percentage of what the billy boys are bringing in

They’re talking about the salary cap. 160 is well over the salary cap and luxury tax. Once you go over the luxury tax you gotta pay those penalties.

I was thinking three second round picks for a late first isn't unreasonable?

If not, the Warriors traded five second rounders for GP2, so you can do something with them.

Yeah them second rounders are useless but yeah you can trade them for vets now. Not sure the fascination these teams have with them but shit you can get a vet it seems.

Beal is lifting his no-trade clause to accommodate the deal to a Suns franchise that has now realized a top-heavy roster of talent and salary. Beal will join Booker, Durant and Deandre Ayton -- four max contracts together with a looming collective bargaining agreement designed to severely limit the roster flexibility of teams above the second apron of luxury tax at $117 million. It is the ultimate all-in play for the Suns to chase a championship.

The arrival of Beal and the $207 million left on his contract projects the Suns to be a second-apron team for at least the next three years, which will leave them largely reliant on minimum contracts to fill out the roster.
My think is this, how are they actually better in the long run because of this? Even come playoff time. They have absolutely no depth and no money for quality depth. Ayton is ass in the middle, and you lucky to get 65 games out of KD. Real lucky. Beal gets hurt a lot too and is a liability on defense. It looks good with all the points scored on paper, but this is not a championship move. Booker and Beal are similar players as well. It's good they got rid of Paul, but they not better than the Nuggets or a healthy Warriors team.
