That’s what I’m thinking. I know n*gga moments happen suddenly, but I’d like to think we collectively understand how important this day is, and to show “them” we know how to celebrate.
I'm in Richmond, and these cats yesterday was just clubbing and drinking all downtown when I was driving through. Just a reason to party, I hate this shit got commercialized now. A young cat got shot at a house party last night here. At least 10 years ago here, we had events on the property of Nat Turner. They told the story of him and the people that was with him, got to follow the trail they walked, and gave some insight to the times back then.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Five people were shot, two fatally, on the city's South Side on Sunday evening, Chicago police said.
The shooting happened in the Roseland neighborhood near West 99th Street and South Princeton Avenue. Neighbors told ABC7
.. a Father's Day gathering was happening before an altercation broke out and dozens of shots were fired.
That gathering is part of a decades-long neighborhood event.
During a press conference, Chicago police said a car pulled up alongside the gathering, and someone inside opened fire.
Two men, a 37-year-old shot in his head and a 33-year-old shot in his neck, died from their injuries.

The shooting happened around 5 a.m. outside Lincoln Park Zoo, in the 1900 block of North Stockton Drive.
CBS 2's Asal Rezaei was on the scene near a farmers market where police blocked off the entire area.
Police say a group was gathered outside when an argument broke out and shots were fired. Over two dozen shell casings are being investigated by police on the scene.
We're told at least one person was found by officers and taken to the Illinois Masonic Hospital, and four others self-transported to Northwestern Hospital. Four men ages 23 to 44 are listed in critical condition and a 17-year-old girl is in fair condition.

Fox 3 states one of the deceased is Devin Smith, an 18-year-old recent graduate of Kellogg High School.
Earlier this year it's alleged Devin was caught masturbating during class at school.
"The sources claim that Smith received a relatively lenient punishment of one or two days of in-school suspension. However, these allegations have not been officially confirmed.
Additionally, several posts circulating online, particularly on a local Facebook forum, suggest that Smith was also caught engaging in similar behavior while observing two underage girls who were his neighbors."
