I remember when this movie came out and heard about some dudes from school doing it. The studio cut it out of the home release because so many kids were getting killed. When I was a kid, I remember someone breaking their collarbone copying Macho Man jumping off the top rope. Some of us took the "don't copy shit you see on tv" talk seriously, and some of us didn't.
Where's all the sharks are harmless people in those comments. All the don't swim like a helpless fish people.

The amazing thing about this is most Black people I know will not go into the ocean at the beach. To even consider jumping into the ocean is cat shit crazy but to jump into the ocean at night off a cruise ship has to be the dumbest thing ever. Jaws told us that sharks hunt at night and that was in 1975. We got shark week,YouTube,discovery channel and so much more info to never get eaten by sharks. Pay dumb games get dumb results.
